IRONWING JUGGERNAUT.
Good day summoners! This is @zusi78 .Welcome to my blog.
Last season, Ironwing Juggernaut broke my heart. It had the chance to deliver the killing blow and win me the battle, but Weary stepped in at the worst possible moment and denied the final attack. That loss really stung.
Fast forward to this new season, and I watched the same thing happen again — only this time, it was my opponent’s Ironwing Juggernaut that failed to finish the job. That single exhausted turn handed me the victory I should have lost.
Weary is one of those abilities that can make you celebrate one day and cry the next. Absolutely frustrating, but that is what makes Splinterlands so interesting.
Before I continue, see the 5 packs I opened in frontier ranked battles after successive victories.A total of fifteen foundation cards:

Beautiful cards I must say.I got lucky pulling Port Guardian on Gold Foil Lv 3.Not forgetting to mention an epic and legendary pull as well.
Sorry for that break in transmission, now to the topic of discussion WEARY.
In Splinterlands, Weary means a unit can become Exhausted starting from round 1, with the chance rising by 10% each round up to 80%; once Exhausted, the unit skips its turn and cannot retaliate .
How it works
A Weary unit has a 10% chance to become Exhausted at the start of round 1, then 20% in round 2, 30% in round 3, and so on until it caps at 80%. When Exhausted, that monster is essentially “shut down” for that turn: it does not attack, cannot counterattack, and does not activate its normal combat actions. Here are some of the monster with weary ability that I have come in contact with:They are; Halfling Refugee, Saltwraith Bulkhead
,Ironwing Juggernaut and Elanor Bravefoot .Certainly there are others and the ability is represented by this symbol below 👇
The Battle:

This is where the whole incident actually took place like l explained earlier. Ironwing juggernaut had the opportunity to finish this game off. From round 6 to round 13, Ironwing juggernaut could not lift a finger.

My Summary/Verdict. My opponent had the better setup late in the fight, but Weary betrayed him right when the kill shot was needed. Instead of closing the match, his exhausted monster skipped the decisive action, and that opened the door for me to steal the win. It was one of those funny-but-painful Splinterlands moments where an ability that seems useful becomes the very thing that costs the game.
What makes Weary especially annoying is that it does not always fail immediately. It can look stable for several rounds, lulling you into confidence, then suddenly become unreliable at the worst possible time. That is exactly what happened here: my opponent watched his win condition slip away not because of a direct counter, but because the ability itself refused to cooperate at the end. It is the kind of loss that leaves a player staring at the screen in disbelief. In simple terms, this battle showed the hidden danger of Weary: it can hold up long enough to give false hope, then collapse when the battle is already on the edge. My own weary monster( saltwraith bulkhead)faded earlier, but because the match reached the finish line first for my opponent, their late exhaustion became the decisive mistake. That is why Weary feels so frustrating — it can be active, threatening, and useful for most of the fight, yet still sabotage the final and most important moment.
Has Weary robbed you of a win you thought was locked, or gifted you one the same way it did for me? Drop the battle links — the community needs more of these chaos stories. Keep summoning, @zusi78
