You asked for more curation?

A bit over a week ago I wrote a post about creating an account (@babytarazkp) that would hold my staked steem-engine tokens and follow my vote at 100% with them, and I thought I would check in and see what it has been up to.

Honestly, I have no real idea... however

and its VP is shot.

PAL (3400 PAL) Equivalent to a 0.16 STEEM vote

LEO (4000 LEO) Equivalent to a 0.21 STEEM vote (estimated)

Neoxian (700 NEOXAG) Equivalent to a 0.08 STEEM vote

Creativecoin (4600 CCC) Equivalent a to 1.7 STEEM vote

NOTE: the equivalent to a STEEM vote is in Steem, not cents of SBD. I don't really want to do the math but for the CCC vote of 1.7 Steem, that is about a 42 cent vote in SBD which is the same as a 100% vote at full VP with 30,000 STEEM POWER.

So -what that means is that while I am currently voting with 13,000 SP and have a 16 cent vote which is a vote equivalent to 0.66 STEEM - @babytarazkp is following with a combination steem-engine vote of potentially over 2 STEEM because the Creativecoin vote is 1.7 Steem alone, 3x more than my SP vote. I am glad I bought into that one.

What this also means is that the people who are getting curated across multiple platforms are earning significantly more than they likely were with steem alone and some people might be earning a great deal more if they have targeted certain platforms like some have been spamming smashing sportstalk.

What this also means is that those who decided to buy in like I did with CCC are likely getting a great deal better value for their money at this point of the game in comparison to Steem. I bought half that Creativecoin for about 50 ($12.50) Steem and got the rest in a token drop, and it is currently delivering the same as 30,000 worth of Steem which would be 7,500 dollars worth.

Now, some of these tokenized interfaces are set at a 50/50 curation/content ratio so I will be earning some curation on these but, for those who have embraced the new interfaces early either as buyers or creators should be very happy with the results. I still hope that the niche content platforms do a much better job of policing their experience though because this is the thing about owning a community - you have to make sure that it is functioning well and rarely does that mean supporting shit - unless you want your community to end up where Steem has been the last three years and is struggling to reorganize now.

While it might sound that I am a bit down on Steem, nothing could be further from the truth as it is these types of communities that I have been harping on about for years now - and, there will be games and businesses to follow. It is through an accumulation of value through a multitude of communities that we will see the value of Steem steadily grow, and steadily stabilize. In time, these tokens will be various sized pillars that while built on Steem, will have all the user base supported upon them.

As I have said before, we are now entering into the fork in the road where investors are going to be vitally important, but it will be the creatives that will come to the forefront of Steem, even though it won't be "on Steem" directly as most will end up on the layers above the blockchain. While everyone fights over the pool on Steem, the game has been steadily changing for the creatives and those who are upset about the shift to 50/50 and the "loss" of rewards better, sit the fuck up and pay attention to what is actually happening.

In order for all of these frontends to be possible, it takes investors like me to hold Steem, provide Resource credits, secure the blockchain so that users can move seamlessly through the layers above, earning where they are the most comfortable or willing to participate.

So in the last 7 days, @babytarazkp has handed out 144 votes to 61 accounts and depending on where they landed, those accounts may have earned 3x+ what I could have offered them with my vote alone. This is especially true for the creatives who embraced https://www.creativecoin.xyz where I have the most powerful stake available of the 4. I bought into that one specifically to reward creatives. Are you a creative? Did you buy in so as to reward others like yourself? No?

While these prices aren't going to last most likely, it is only a matter of time that some of these platform layers break into the right publicity and suddenly onboard a million or ten million users. It will be at that point that people will realize why the Steem investment layer is so important and at that point that many who are currently selling now might be a little upset at their foresight.

well, that didn't tell much about the account but, I think I got enough of a point across to demonstrate the potential of these topic-centric platforms and how they can increase the value of Steem as well as the spread of ownership points immensely. The value distributors on steem has exploded with Steem-engine tokens with hundreds or thousands more people delivering votes of value on the interfaces.

And you have been chasing Steem whales because your view of what Steem is has been too narrow.

Fantastic post @tarakp , upped 💯 and resteemed! I am a long term investor with a 4 year plan right now to Stake all Tribe Tokens and see where and what happens, who will be triumphant !? It would be nice to fully retire early when I turn 60 as I am STAKNG my retirement on it and truly beleive it will happen! 🙋❤🙏 #palnet #neoxian #steemleo

I have been thinking of a way to use all my tokens for voting without draining the main account. Using one like you do may be the answer.

The name.tribe format that @abh12345 is using seems like a lot of work.. especially when more are released.

I have invested in Creative Coin, PALnet, Neoxian City, SteemLeo, StemGeeks and SportsTalk communities because I believe they have the potential and because I'm active in all them. So people who use these tags and receive my upvotes will benefit as well.

  • @revo(62)· 2584d

I've noticed I get significantly higher vote values from PAL than STU. I think this must mean that my followers who autovote mostly are strong adopters of Palnet. I've staked CCC but haven't yet created a post for the community. I'm a photographer, so will eventually start using the Creativecoin community heavily. I look forward to hopefully getting some good upvotes with CCC.

Regarding creating another account for all the staked tokens, that's a good idea. It's bothering me that while my steem VP is down at 80% my staked tokens (PAL, LEO, CCC) VP are up near 100%. Although, it's been a few weeks since I last checked, so as more users start posting to those communities the more my votes will come out of those stakings.

Nice, I did the same thing not too long ago creating @mini-v for upvoting! It's a lot of work and I have to say that it's a pain to log in and log out of several different front-ends to just to vote. Wish there was some integration with Partiko or Esteem which might help a little. All these tokens, it's a bit of a crap shoot but let's see which ones survive and thrive.

I don't know if I ever asked for more curation but I'm definitely not unhappy about it!

And definitely happy with creativecoin, been staking like an angry stake and now my ccc number is almost up with my available sp number XD

Also been staking other things I'm somehow earning rewards for and things I have some idea what they are even though the chances of me actually using them is pretty low, never know, and some of these other ones I don't know what they are/come from projects I'm not that keen on will get sold either for steem or other tokens I want down the line, I have magic numbers but at this volume need to start writing notes instead of doing it in my head, I don't mind this problem though XD

Are you using @holger80's steemrewarding.com for your voting?

  • @melinda010100(80)· 2584d

I am delegating my tokens to my alt @melshadow account, but have been manually token voting from there. I like the idea of trailing my main account. That would keep things simpler.

    I got a 1000 CCC airdrop but I also invested in a little more because I’m a creative 🎹 😄 #creativecoin

I am still somewhat loss with all this potential; not because it is confusing but my limited time and bandwidth to do something. I still cannot take the step to add another account as I feel that Steem is already administratively burdensome for me so I cannot imagine adding anothet level! However, I am watching closey to support the development and adapt accordingly!

I am just taking my coins I get from curation, from posting and from miners and sell half and power up half With the sold half I buy more miners, or investment tokens or steem...

the game has been steadily changing for the creatives and those who are upset about the shift to 50/50 and the "loss" of rewards better, sit the fuck up and pay attention to what is actually happening.

On a few occasions, while reading steemicide notes, I tried to explain to these people. Unfortunately, they decided to go against logic, took the side of their irrational fears, listened to the know nothings spread their gospel of doom and gloom, said they're never coming back. They said everyone was greedy and how dare they take money away from the little guy! All those people do is ensure the "little guy" stays little.

Those folks will want to come back once their brains arrive back from vacation, and they'll have some rotten words in the fridge they'll need to eat.
