More PAL and Partiko

It has taken most of the day to decide which of these topics to talk about, so they are coming together into one post today.

Partiko

I was originally going to suggest that the likes of @misterdelegation and @steemit consider @partiko for, in their terms, a small delegation of around 100,000 SP. However, as @partiko have been rather quiet and cryptic of late, I've decided not to push that too hard as yet. The reason for the suggestion though is as follows:

Right now, @partiko have claimed 2312 account tokens, and have created 2312 accounts from these tokens, and for the past 3 weeks they have been claiming accounts and using all these claims each day. There is clearly a backlog of accounts to be created, and it's not because the system isn't working or someone is being lazy, they are short on RCs. As well as being low on RC's each day, they also seem to be delegating 15 SP to many of the new accounts they create, making it tougher to grow their account.

And were it not for the kind delegations of over 100 Steemians, the on-boarding efforts of @partiko would have fallen way short of the numbers above.

I'm not well up on @partiko rewards, but I understand that the delegators receive votes on their content relative to the size of the delegation (and dependent on their use of the @partiko app?). With that being said, much respect to @gcalex who has been largely quiet over the past 6 months, and left us with this welcome reminder last time out.

I estimate that his(?) SP delegation to @partiko is responsible for the RCs required to onboard over 1000 users since last November.

Today I visited the @partiko discord, and it was eerily quiet. I did however speak to a 'partner' who informed me that the lead developer had relocated for a short period and that this must have been important, for him to drop tools on @partiko for the time being. I think in light of the recent exit by magicdice, and dlive last year, folks are overly concerned about apps moving away from Steem. I'm hopeful normal service will be resumed soon but we shall see.

PAL / palnet.io

This will be my second post with #palnet in the tags after subtly stating that I will be tagging all my posts with #palnet from now on. (which means that those who have staked their PAL tokens will get rewarded for upvoting my posts, at a rate of 50% author, 50% curator) See, subtle.

And those that kindly visited yesterday will be sharing half of of this, although it is 6 days away from payout and 1 downvote is free over on PAL.

Yesterday I put in a buy order for 1000 PAL at 99 STEEM and most of the order was taken at that price - I had to pay a little more for the final 150 or so. Today I've bought another batch at a higher price and now hold 3000 invested PAL. Part of me wants to throw a load more STEEM into PAL, but I shall resist, and gain value by suggesting to friends (Hi Eve) that they power up their PAL and start using the tag.

Now we are getting paid in at least 2 tokens whilst creating content, the self-vote feeling within is starting to emerge again - I shall resist for now, but what if we are at some point being rewarded with 5/6/7 tokens for our effort. I can see it being tough to resist - maybe one selfie a day will be OK? :)

Alright, I'm going to game away from the Steem game a little more, and I shall speak to you later.

Cheers

Asher

@abh12345, In my opinion definitely Partiko is doing appreciable job because they are in the game and fighting hard.

And that's the benefit of **Tokenised Ecosystem and Smart Media Token Protocol in a way. It's just not about single digit in near future may be we can see many communities which will rise and these numbers will touch double digits.

Don't forget SNAX. It's the 3rd token we can be payed for. It doesn't have any value yet, though... I'm using palnet tag as well on my posts.

  • @mikepm74(67)· 2633d

You'll be a whale in no time my friend!

I will say I kind of like the feel of looking through my feed on Palnet. It is cleaner than my Steemit feed since it is only populated by posts from "real people" and does not contain some of the spam that invades my feed no matter how often I cull my following list.

I know one of the things that Aggroed is working on concerns onboarding of new users and the token creation issues. So maybe partiko will get some help on that front before too long. We need new people to get in and buy in to the platform if we are going to get sustainable growth!

The Partiko app is not perfect and many things need to be improved over there. In the meantime, the dapp is working well for me to curate on my smartphone!

  • @soyrosa(75)· 2633d

Partiko needs to come back or I'll lose my lifeline :D I even suggested in my first PAL post to create Paltiko, and then I heard that Aggroed indeed has tried to contact Partiko - muhahaha. Let's hope we don't lose that team, they were more than developers, shaping a real vision for Steem and deplatforming and... Anyway. Happy PAL'ing dear Asher, I'm staking mine (and have been trading some leftover PAL/lucky buys for a nice STEEM profit too :D)

I like your analysis, especially on partiko. I still use it from mobile, but I'm getting bored. I thinknthey need to uodate their model. Some people have a scary amount of points and I've barely got an idea of who theybare whichbis a little concerning. Interesting for PAL you need 2k or so before getting a meaningful upvote. In the end all these fair systems are just pyramids with fairer slopes. Nonetheless I've tagged it once and I'll keep tagging it in many posts.

@abh12345 Thank You for the Update and I know PAL is Going to Be a Big Deal for all of us............

  • @simplymike(69)· 2633d

May I be so curious to ask what your vote value is worth. I own +1400 PAL and my vote is still worth nothing...

It might have been the wrong choice, but I did buy some Steem yesterday. I just couldn't resist the temptation to power up that extra 200 Steem. I really wanted that 10k, instead of 9800, lol.

I have some SBD aside for PAL, but first I want to figure out why so many people think it will be different from SteemIt. I still don't really get what the hype is all about. Yes, you get free tokens, but the rich will buy large amounts, while the people that can't afford will end up in the same situation as on SteemIt...

Partiko has been doing great when it comes to onboarding new users. They did slip a while ago when they crossed the line between promotion and plain spam, and I think they've received a lot of negative/concerned feedback about that.

  • @fitinfun(72)· 2633d

I staked my baby amount of PAL on all three blogs I run and every post I do now will have the palnet tag. So far I am getting 2-3 PAL's on about half of my posts, so WooHoo. A coin for a tag is fine by me.

Every so often I will go look at my results over there. The site is too slow for my bad wifi to go in very often.

  • @khaleelkazi(82)· 2633d

I hear Aggroed is trying to get in touch with Partiko. Probably about doing their own SCOT.

I think they could raise a massive amount of Steem by doing something in partnership with Aggroed and Steem Engine. Hopefully they follow up on this and then use the raised funds to power up, claim more accounts and continually reward the user base.

  • @riverflows(82)· 2633d

I just deleted Partiko from my phone as I was fed up with it. Theres been no real updates and the quietness was bothering me. Then, all day I was thinking... hmm, no notifications or comments on my post? Must be a quiet day. Ha, realised now i cant get those as dont have the app! So i have to manually check steempeak. Thats kinda nice... some peace and quiet. What else do people use on their mobiles? I wish Steempeak would make an app.

Went in to buy PAL yesterday but not sure i did it right. Thats the frustrating thing about tokens... not straight forward and ive been around a while so cant even imagine what its like for new users. Im being unusually slow getting onto this new thang. Maybe i was crushed to not get airdropped any lol. Xx

  • @sumatranate(69)· 2633d

I have never jumped on the Partiko bandwagon because my phone is not new enough to run the required OS. Even though I have not been involved, I hope all goes well and that the silence ends soon.

I have however jumped on board with palnet. This project has recreated a lot of buzz. The goal now is to make sure that it grows steadily and strong. The last thing we need is for another great idea to be poorly executed.

This is not just an issue for developers and management teams, as end users, we need to add value just as we expect others to do. When we short cut the system, we leave it vulnerable.

  • @mindtrap(75)· 2633d

I’ve stacked my PAL tokens too from the airdrop and feels great,...to earn both tokens for the same content. That was until I read a post from @whatup a little earlier...who she had her very first payout, only to realize that for now...apart from the devs and stuff...the curation rewards for us are almost...non existent

  • @meesterboom(81)· 2633d

Damn, maybe I should stake my pal!! How do you log in? Does this mean I have to read one of those fucking 'how to' PalNet posts? Sigh

  • @tsnaks(68)· 2633d

I myself am trying to collect PAL From posting, but unfortunatley most of my post values stay at 0.00

I wish they made it so the payout doesn't have to be a whole (example: 2.00 PAL)

But it could be less than 1 (example: 3,28 PAL)
