Strong men and soft women...

Today I got to spend the day laying in the sun having a cocktail and chatting with old friends. Where the conversation came up about strong men and what exactly that means, which really got me thinking...

What is a strong man, and why do women want them?

In my opinion, being a strong man to a woman has nothing to do with being “yoked” or physical appearance at all really. It’s about balancing the softness of a woman.

I thought I could share some of my thoughts about it, as well as some photos that I think represent the softness of women.

To me, being a strong man is more about protecting her, not only physically, but with your words. It’s standing up for her against the world, as she shouldn’t have to do that alone. It’s making her feel safe, and that you always have her back. It’s uplifting her and supporting her, to help her reach her full potential... as well as being strong enough to tell her when she’s wrong (in private of course) and offering help to fix it.

Women are soft by nature, soft lines, soft hearts and soft souls. It’s how we were designed...

We are fragile, but we are also fierce... more strength and resilience lies in the heart of a woman than most men can even fathom. And we need a strong enough man who can handle that fierceness, in all its beauty, as well as balance us.

A strong man is strong enough to be soft with her when needed, and allow himself to be vulnerable with her.

A strong man doesn’t find his strength in making her feel weak, or putting her down. His strength is found by protecting and encouraging, and never making her feel less than she is.

Because you know what makes a strong man, stronger?

### A fierce woman standing next to him. Because she will give him ten fold the support, encouragement he offers her, and will go down in flames to protect him.

Be a strong man, gentleman! Kiss her on the forehead, tell her she’s beautiful, protect her, support her, embrace her fierceness ... and you know, slap her on the ass occasionally so she knows you want her ;)

That is a great quote! Explains why women confuse the shit out of me! 😝

Seriously, I do love what you have written though. I think finding that perfect partner, joined like twins, against the world, is the dream!

I have always remembered watching Escape from Witch Mountain (a movie) as a kid and always dreamed of finding my wife and having that kind of connection. I know in the movie they were brother and sister... but you get the point. :D Not really realistic. I guess I'm a dreamer.
