Clouds Lasagna / Wolkenlasagne

The last time I drove over the Soboth Pass from Styria back to Carinthia, I noticed this view to the west.

Als ich das letzte Mal über den Soboth Pass aus der Steiermark zurück nach Kärnten gefahren bin, ist mir dieser Ausblick in Richtung Westen aufgefallen.

Nevertheless, the view fascinated me, because in the valley the air was hazy and it was covered with a cloud carpet. Between this cloud carpet, which laid over the whole valley, and the next cloud cover, there was a layer where the air was a little clearer.

The look somehow reminded me of a lasagna.

Der Ausblick hat mich aber trotzdem fasziniert, denn unten war das Tal, die Luft war diesig und es war mit einem Wolkenteppich bedeckt. Zwischen diesem Wolkenteppich, der über dem ganzen Tal lag, und der nächsten Wolkendecke gab es eine Schicht, wo die Luft etwas klarer gewesen ist.

Der Blick hat mich irgendwie an eine Lasagne erinnert.

I shot the photos a while after sunrise, but due to the dense clouds, there was no sign of the sun except for a slight orange tone in the upper cloud layers.

By the way, the church was not the main motive, but actually the clouds. Incidentally, the first photo shows a total of 5 churches, and there was one more right behind me 😉

Die Fotos habe ich eine Weile nach Sonnenaufgang gemacht, aber wegen der dichten Bewölkung ist bis auf einen leichten orangen Ton in den oberen Wolkenschichten nichts von der Sonne zu sehen gewesen.

Die Kirche war übrigens nicht das Hauptmotiv, sondern tatsächlich die Wolkenschichten. Übrigens sind auf dem ersten Foto insgesamt 5 Kirchen zu sehen und hinter mir war auch eine 😉
