After yesterday's little excursion into indoor Milk Drop Photography, there is pure nature again today.

Nach meinem gestrigen kleinen Ausflug in die Milchtropfenfotografie gibt es heute wieder Natur pur.

During my last visit to the Šunikov water grove in the Lepena valley, I took some waterfall photos, of course, but I noticed this actually beautiful piece of driftwood on my walk between the streams.

Bei meinem letzten Besuch im Šunikov Wasserhain im Lepena Tal habe ich natürlich einige Wasserfallfotos gemacht, aber auf meinem Spaziergang zwischen den Bächen ist mir dieses eigentlich wunderschöne Stück Treibholz aufgefallen.

It is probably a kind of rhizome with several tree trunks that have grown out of it, as such mossy trees can often be seen at the streams in this area.

But I have no idea what kind of tree it is (as usual ;).

Es dürfte sich um einen Wurzelstock mit mehreren daraus hervorgewachsenen Baumstämmen sein, wie man sie oft moosbewachsen in dieser Gegend an den Bächen sehen kann.

Ich habe aber keinerlei Ahnung, um welche Baumart es sich dabei handelt (wie üblich ;).

I took the last photo last year at the Mlinarica stream in the Soča valley, but I think it fits my current topic of driftwood.

Das letzte Foto habe ich bereits im vorigen Jahr am Mlinarica Bach im Soča Tal gemacht, aber ich denke es passt zu meinem heutigen Thema Treibholz.

ps. forgot to tell you yesterday -- I also love to explore driftwood very much. some pieces me and my wife grabbed thru years at the Ladoga skerries, we could not even part with them - we keep them at our home, despite of !DERANGED lack of space, as we are not a !MARLIANS shop.

Beautiful old driftwood@johannpiber🤗 It can also be a sculpture. As I walked through the woods with the company, I came across a beautiful piece of dry wood of unusual shape .... A friend took that piece of dry wood to put in the aquarium....😊
