Icy Waterfall / Eisiger Wasserfall

I never thought that this waterfall would actually be icy.

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass dieser Wasserfall tatsächlich vereist wäre.

Before I drove to the Tscheppaschlucht / Tscheppa Gorge for the Tschaukofall / Tschauko Waterfall last Monday (Waterfall "Tschaukofall"), I wanted to take another look at the Waterfall Sörg.

Bevor ich letzten Montag zum Tschaukofall in die Tscheppaschlucht gefahren bin (Waterfall "Tschaukofall"), wollte ich mir wieder einmal den Sörger Wasserfall ansehen.

I really would not have expected so much ice because the waterfall has been in the sunshine since early morning.

Mit so viel Eis hätte ich wirklich nicht gerechnet, weil der Wasserfall eigentlich bereits seit dem frühen Morgen im Sonnenschein ist.

It was relatively difficult for me to take pictures of the waterfall because it was pretty slippery everywhere and I couldn't go to the places where I would have liked to take photos.

Es war für mich relativ schwierig, das den Wasserfall zu fotografieren, weil es überall ziemlich rutschig gewesen ist und ich nicht an die Stellen konnte, wo ich gerne Fotos gemacht hätte.

Somehow I didn't really like the brown hues of the rocks in the sunlight. That's why I created versions of some of the photos where I desaturated the brown tones a bit.

Irgendwie haben mir die braunen Farbtönungen der Felsen im Sonnenlicht nicht wirklich gefallen. Deshalb habe ich von einigen Fotos Versionen erstellt, wo ich die Brauntöne etwas entsättigt habe.

A little rainbow appeared just before I drove on to the next waterfall.

Kurz bevor ich zum nächsten Wasserfall weitergefahren bin, ist noch ein kleiner Regenbogen erschienen.

Because it was so icy and therefore too dangerous, I couldn't get to the end of the rainbow that was right in front of me under the waterfall. Therefore, the question of whether there is a treasure of gold buried or not, still remains a mystery.

Weil es so eisig und daher zu gefährlich gewesen ist, konnte ich nicht zum Ende des Regenbogens gelangen, das sich direkt vor mir unter dem Wasserfall befunden hat. Deshalb bleibt die Frage, ob dort ein Goldschatz vergraben ist, weiterhin ein Geheimnis.

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

This is spectacular! Amazing photos @johannpiber. Icy waterfall with the rainbow, WOW!😮🤩 I am sure that one day you will find your treasure. If not at the end of the rainbow, then on the end of mystery path from empty house with mystery message. 😉 I do agree with you @johannpiber that desaturated versions looks better.
