The film follows Josh Wheaton a young Christian student in the college who enroll in a philosophy class taught by a professor Jeffrey Radisson. The professor didn't believe in the theology of God existence he also have this mindset that constant debating about God is more of a distraction to his goal inclucating his philosophy in his students so he instruct every student in his class to write the word God is Dead on a piece of paper and sign it, but Josh refused do sign the statement because doing so is against his Christian belief, though his decision was complicated and at most a challenging one he was determined to defend his faith, he took a stand against his teacher's proposal even though he knew it would cost a lot to proof his faith.
One of the strongest aspects of God's Not Dead is it exploration of belief and intellectual freedom. The movie encourage viewers and listeners to build a strong conviction around what they know is right and that they should be able to withstand the opposition and challenges that will arise subsequently to debunk and oppose certain values and beliefs that we hold on to.
The story also suggest to us that faith and beliefs are mostly accompanied by challenges, pains and series of opposition to that can influence people's understanding and consequentially rub us of our place in faith . However it teaches that our decision are quite superior and can be superimposed over all external factors that will emerge to challenge your stand.
God's Not Dead (2014) is one among series of inspiring dramas that encourage people to reflect on their faith and defend their convictions in everyday life.
I am recommending this movie God's Not Dead to every person who has any reason to believe in whatsoever is true. Please watch and build yourself. Thanks.
