The Christmas season is usually full of lights, decorations, joy and also stories of all kinds, as expected Netflix placed programming related to this time, among the titles that have shared one called my attention and one of those nights when you watch movies in the company of the family or part of it I saw with my mother "The boy who saved Christmas".

This film begins with the arrival home of an elderly lady famular who has been called to take care of his nephews and nieces since his father must go out to work, the children are not very happy with this visit as they consider it a very old lady, among the things that catch the attention of the old lady to get home is that there is no Christmas decoration to which the children's father responds that he has not had time to decorate. So after the father leaves to attend to his work call, the old lady takes the children to a room and begins to tell them a story.

That is where the woodcutter and his son Nicolas, who live in the remote part of the forest, where a bear almost trapped them, enters the scene. This woodcutter is a widower and as a father he worries about his son because times have been hard, Nicolas is a dreamer child who loves the snow, adventures and loves to be told a story that his mother told him about a girl who got lost and arrived at the village where the elves live, whose name is Elfhelm.

On the other hand, the King of the nation where Nicolas and his father live summons his subjects and Nicolas in the company of his father and his mouse Mika. He attends the castle, where the King tells them that the kingdom needs hope and wants his subjects to search until they find something that will bring it back.

Nicolas' father, therefore, sets out on a journey in the company of other men in search of that special something and in order to provide for him and his beloved son, who is left with the red hat that his mother had made for his father and under the supposed care of his paternal aunt a horrible woman, who makes his life impossible, so Nicolas one day discovers that inside the hat that his father left him hides the map of the story that his mother told him so much about the way to Elfhelm, so he decides to go in search of his father.

This is how Nicolas' real adventure begins, he finds Elfhelm, new friends and saves that place from the bitterness that has operated on him, besides losing some things and gaining others, you will not think that I will tell you the whole movie, something has to be left pending for you to be encouraged to watch it.

Now, as for the cast and performances is great, it is a British film that tells the beginning of a story of a well-known character from a different perspective, touching and funny, with an ending that as I said shows the beginning of a character often mentioned at this time of year which seems original to me because as far as I know is something that had not been told.

La época navideña suele estar llena de luces, decoración, alegría y también de historias de todo tipo, como es de esperarse en Netflix colocaron programación relacionada con esta época, entre los títulos que han compartido uno llamo mi atención y una de esas noches en la que vez películas en compañía de la familia o parte de ella vi junto a mi madre “El chico que salvo la navidad”

Esta película comienza con la llegada a casa de un famular de una señora de edad avanzada que ha sido llamada para cuidar a sus sobrinos ya que su padre debe salir a trabajar, los niños no están muy contentos con esta visita ya que la consideran una señora muy viejita, entre las cosas que llaman la atención de la anciana al llegar a casa es que no hay decoración navideña a lo que el padre de los niños responde que no ha tenido tiempo para decorar. Así tras el padre retirarse para atender su llamado laboral, esa anciana lleva a los niños a una habitación y comienza contarles una historia.

Allí es donde entra escena el leñador y su hijo Nicolas quienes viven en lo apartado del bosque, donde casi los atrapa un oso, este leñador es viudo y como padre se preocupa por su hijo ya que han sido tiempos duros, Nicolas es un niño soñador que ama la nieve, las aventuras y le encanta que le narren una historia que le contaba su madre de una niña que se extravió y llego al pueblo donde habitan los duendes, cuyo nombre es Elfhelm.

Por otra parte, el Rey de la nación en la habitan Nicolas y su padre convoca a sus súbditos y Nicolas en compañía de su padre y de su ratón Mika. Asiste al Castillo, allí el Rey les señala que el reino, necesita esperanza y desea que sus súbditos busquen hasta encontrar algo que la devuelva.

Por ello el padre de Nicolas, emprende un viaje en compañía de otros hombres en busca de ese algo especial y con el propósito de proveer para él y su amado hijo, quien queda con el gorro rojo que su madre había elaborado para su padre y bajo el supuesto cuidado de su tía paterna una horrible mujer, que le hace la vida imposible, así Nicolas un día descubre que dentro del gorro que le dejo su padre se esconde el mapa del cuento que tanto le narraba su madre del camino a Elfhelm, así que decide ir en busca de su padre.

Es así como comienza la verdadera aventura de Nicolas quien encuentra Elfhelm, nuevos amigos y salva a ese lugar de la amargura que se ha operado de el, además de perder algunas cosas y ganar otras, no pensaran que les narrare toda la película, algo tiene que quedar pendiente para que se animen a verla.

Ahora bien, en cuanto al elenco y las actuaciones es genial, es una película británica que narra el comienzo de una historia de un personaje muy conocido desde una perspectiva diferente, conmovedora y divertida, con un final que como señale muestra el comienzo de un personaje muy mencionado en esta época del año lo que me parece original ya que hasta donde se es algo que no se había contado.

En resumen, si estas buscando títulos relativos a esta fecha del año, esta es una buena opción para ver en familia o solo, así me retito desenado que se animen a ver este tirulo y esperando que si ya lo hicieron me dejan su opinión en el cajón de comentarios.
