¡Hola lectores de @moviesandtvshows! Hoy estoy nuevamente aqui para hacer una reseña del genero que tanto me gusta pero aun me falta por explorar mucho: El terror.
En esta ocasión, me salí de las películas de horror convencionales para adentrarme en el mundo de la animación japonesa pero con historias empapadas de horror. Me gusta el anime aunque hace tiempo no veo, diría años, por falta de tiempo pero gracias a mi colega @valeriavalentina , me anime a ver de nuevo estas historias y hoy, toca una que si bien no es algo nuevo, no se creo hace poco, si es nuevo en la plataforma Netflix. Estoy hablando de la serie titulada Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.
Esta serie, de la mano del autor Junji ito, nos trae mini historias de terror repartidas en 12 capítulos los cuales, algunos de ellos contienen dos historias para mas placer. Sabiendo desde donde parte esta tira, empecemos con esta reseña sin spoilers.
Hello @moviesandtvshows readers! Today I'm here again to do a review of the genre that I love so much but I still have a lot to explore: horror.
This time, I went out of the conventional horror movies to get into the world of Japanese animation but with stories steeped in horror. I like anime although I haven't watched for a while, I would say years, due to lack of time but thanks to my colleague @valeriavalentina , I was encouraged to see again these stories and today, touches one that although it is not something new, it was not created recently, if it is new on the Netflix platform. I'm talking about the series titled Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre.
This series, from the hand of the author Junji ito, brings us mini horror stories spread over 12 chapters which, some of them contain two stories for more pleasure. Knowing where this strip starts from, let's start with this spoiler-free review.

Una de las primeras cosas que note fue la animación. Tiene la estética que a mi me gusta: Caras grotescas, Expresiones sacadas del infierno, Escenas turbias, ambientación con un tono oscuro. Todo esto llamo mi atención rotundamente e hizo que quisiera ver todo de una pero no me adelante y me dije ¡Vamos! Que aun no he visto nada ja,ja,ja.
Cuando comencé a ver el primer capitulo, si, me decepcione un poco y sentí que me deje llevar por la estética y aplique la frase : No todo lo que brilla es oro.
El primer capitulo se me hizo sin sentido, carente de historia y con un final un tanto extraño. Luego pensé que fue porque no era el terror al que estaba acostumbrada y decidí ver el segundo. Con el segundo me paso lo miso. Decepcionada pero, como no me rindo, seguí viendo y a partir del tercer capitulo valió cada segundo.
One of the first things I noticed was the animation. It has the aesthetics that I like: grotesque faces, expressions out of hell, murky scenes, and a dark atmosphere. All this caught my attention and made me want to see everything at once, but I didn't go ahead and said to myself "Come on! I haven't seen anything yet ha,ha,ha,ha.
When I started watching the first chapter, yes, I was a little disappointed and I felt that I let myself get carried away by the aesthetics and applied the phrase: Not everything that glitters is gold.
The first chapter made no sense to me, lacking in story and with a somewhat strange ending. Then I thought it was because it wasn't the horror I was used to and decided to watch the second one. The same thing happened with the second one. Disappointed but, as I don't give up, I kept watching and from the third chapter on it was worth every second.

El capitulo que mas me gusto fue el titulado: Los globos colgantes. Pude sentir el verdadero terror de la protagonista y su familia al saber que no saldrían de la situación que estaban viviendo. Otro que me gusto mucho fue: La ciudad de las tumbas. Ese capitulo me dejo triste y aterrada a la vez pero tambien feliz. Cuando lo vean me van a entender ja, ja, ja . El protagonista recibió su merecido y nada mejor que ver como alguien que obra mas le llega el karma.
Hubo mas que me asquearon y eso es bueno ya que logra el cometido principal del autor que es asquearte hasta que vomites ja,ja,ja. Lo que si no me gusta mucho son las historias inconclusas.
Siempre me busco tener explicación a porque pasan algunas cosas y en cada historia de esta serie, si bien me empape de horror hasta asfixiarme, ningún capitulo explica el porque suceden las cosas y me quedo con la duda. Si eres de esos que quiere explicación a todo, lo lamento. Cada capitulo es interesante pero te deja todo a medias y nunca terminas de entender que esta pasando pero eso no quita que sean muy bueno para pasar el rato.

The chapter I liked the most was the one entitled: The Hanging Balloons. I could feel the real terror of the main character and her family knowing that they would not get out of the situation they were living. Another one I really liked was: The City of Graves. That chapter left me sad and terrified at the same time but also happy. When you see it you will understand me ha, ha, ha, ha . The main character got what he deserved and there is nothing better than seeing how someone who does the most good deeds gets his karma.
There were more that disgusted me and that's good because it achieves the main purpose of the author which is to disgust you until you vomit ha,ha,ha,ha. What I don't like are the unfinished stories.
I'm always looking for an explanation as to why some things happen and in every story of this series, although I got soaked in horror until I suffocated, no chapter explains why things happen and I'm left with the doubt. If you're one of those who wants an explanation for everything, I'm sorry. Each chapter is interesting but leaves you halfway and you never end up understanding what is going on but that does not mean that they are not very good to pass the time.

Leí por internet malas criticas para con la serie ya que no se adapto del todo bien ya que el terror de Junji Ito tiene otro nivel y bueno, Netflix suavizo las cosas por así decirlo.
Yo no leí el manga de este autor aun pero se que muchas adaptaciones censuran muchas cosas y quizá, este sea el caso. Yo esperaba ver mas sangre, mas cosas turbias pero quede satisfecha. Si te gusta el terror suavizado, te la recomiendo totalmente y a mi, que me gusta el terror fuerte, me tocará leer el manga je, je, je.
I read on the internet bad reviews for the series because it was not adapted well because Junji Ito's horror has another level and well, Netflix softened things so to speak.
I didn't read the manga of this author yet but I know that many adaptations censor many things and maybe, this is the case. I was expecting to see more blood, more shady stuff but I was satisfied. If you like softened horror, I totally recommend it and for me, who likes strong horror, I'll have to read the manga heh, heh, heh.
