Inspirada en la novela de terror psicológico antigua de Henry James : **"Otra vuelta de tuerca"** , llega de la mano de Mike Flanagan (Director de otras obras de horror basadas en libro como **"La caída de la casa Usher"** y **"La maldición de Hill House"**) llega, esta mini serie que ahondará profundamente en tu cerebro tratando de buscar la vuelta de tuerca que faltaba en el libro.
"La maldición de Bly Manor" , si bien, no es de las mejores adaptaciones de este libro, la atmósfera de ser constantemente perseguidos esta muy bien lograda y el suspenso envuelve en un manto de tinieblas a cada personaje haciéndolos casi cruzar la línea de la locura.
Inspired by Henry James's ancient psychological horror novel: "The Turn of the Screw", and brought to us by Mike Flanagan (Director of other horror works based on books such as "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Haunting of Hill House"), comes this miniseries that will delve deep into your mind in search of the missing twist in the book.
"The Haunting of Bly Manor", while not one of the best adaptations of this book, the atmosphere of being constantly pursued is very well achieved, and the suspense shrouds each character in a cloak of darkness, almost pushing them to the brink of insanity.

Si esperas ver una adaptación fiel al libro, déjame decirte que esta, no lo es. La principal diferencia es que la obra original es de terror psicológico y esta serie es del tipo paranormal, dejando un poco de lado esa parte y tratando de generar sustos a través de estos personajes espectrales.
Otra cosa es que, en el libro, no se especifican detalles del pasado de cada personaje, en cambio, la producción nos ofrece una profundidad mayor en cuanto a que fue de cada uno tiempos memorables. Como está inspirado me parece bien que tomaran la premisa principal de la novela y la transformaran en algo mas extenso ofreciéndole una historia a cada personaje para que todo concatene de una forma coherente. Hasta hay personajes que no salen en el libro supongo que, para dar mas peso a la historia o para forzar ciertas cosas como el género LGBT ya que eso le dá ese toque moderno que las producciones de hoy en día requieren para llegar al público mas joven. No me molestó que lo agregaran pero nunca deja de ser extraño ver algo así en adaptaciones de 1800 pero, con tal de que los jóvenes conozcan estas obras, me parece perfecto mientras no caiga en lo ridículo.
If you expect to see a faithful adaptation of the book, let me tell you that this one is not. The main difference is that the original work is psychological horror and this series is of the paranormal type, leaving aside that part and trying to generate scares through these spectral characters.
Another thing is that, in the book, details of each character's past are not specified, instead, the production offers us greater depth in terms of what each one experienced in memorable times. Since it is inspired, I think it's good that they took the main premise of the novel and transformed it into something more extensive by offering a story to each character so that everything connects in a coherent way. There are even characters that don't appear in the book, I suppose, to add more weight to the story or to force certain things like the LGBT genre since that gives it a modern touch that today's productions require to reach a younger audience. It didn't bother me that they added it, but it's always strange to see something like this in adaptations from the 1800s, yet, as long as young people get to know these works, I think it's perfect as long as it doesn't become ridiculous.

La serie, a pesar de ser corta, es muy lenta y, es parecida a Hill House. Termina siendo mas que terror, una historia de drama y amor trágico con un final con punto y listo ¿Por qué digo esto? "Otra vuelta de tuerca" no tiene ese título porque si sino, porque cada lector, puede darle la vuelta de tuerca que le parezca a la historia según su punto de vista . Cada quien, al leerlo, puede interpretar la historia y el final de distintas maneras mientras que la serie nos da un final que nos deja poco a la imaginación. En el libro nos quedamos con la duda y debemos interpretar que fué lo que pasó. Creo que para tener un cierre , algunos capítulos estaban demás y pudo haber sido mas corta, al grano porque llega un momento que ya no la quieres ver mas porque aburre de lo lenta que es. Con un mejor ritmo de la trama creo que hubiera estado mejor pero esta es mi opinión nomas.
The series, despite being short, is very slow and similar to Hill House. It ends up being more than horror, a story of drama and tragic love with a clear and final point. Why do I say this? "The Turn of the Screw" does not have that title just because, but because each reader can interpret the story and the ending in different ways while the series gives us a final that leaves little to the imagination. In the book, we are left with doubt and must interpret what happened. I think to have closure, some chapters were unnecessary and it could have been shorter, to the point because there comes a moment when you no longer want to watch it because it is boring due to how slow it is. With a better pace of the plot, I think it would have been better but this is just my opinion.

La ambientación es espectacular. Un clásico de las producciones de casas embrujadas con ese estilo antiguo que le da el toque para invitar a entrar a estos espectros.
La recomiendo pero, ármate de paciencia porque el ritmo es mas lento que una tortuga pero, valdrá la pena.

The setting is spectacular. A classic haunted house production with that old style that gives it the touch to invite these specters in.
I recommend it but, arm yourself with patience because the pace is slower than a turtle but, it will be worth it.
