You may wonder why the title of this review is upside down? Well, let's say that in this series entitled Alice in Borderland, everything is upside down, showing us a slightly disturbing version of Tokyo where Alice, our protagonist, along with two friends and other unknown people, will be trapped in this world plunged into chaos and must carry out a series of sick games, sponsored by who knows who, in order to survive in this kind of parallel world where at any time you can lose your life in a horrible way.
I read a review of this series in this community a couple of weeks ago, I don't remember who did it but thanks to that review, I was encouraged to watch it in its entirety so I am enormously grateful for those virtual letters that made me know this wonderful series.

Bueno, digamos que en esta serie titulada Alice in Borderland, todo esta patas para arriba mostrándonos, una versión de Tokio un poco perturbadora del mismo donde Alice, nuestro protagonista, junto a dos amigos y otras personas desconocidas, se verán atrapados en este mundo sumido en caos y deberán llevar a cabo una serie de juegos enfermos , patrocinados por quien sabe quien, para así , lograr sobrevivir en esa especie de mundo paralelo donde en cualquier momento puedes perder la vida de una forma horrible.
Esta serie la leí reseñada en esta comunidad hace un par de semanas, no recuerdo quien lo hizo pero gracias a ese reseña, me animé a verla completa así que enormemente agradecida por aquellas letras virtuales que me hicieron conocer esta maravillosa serie.
The series so far has two seasons in which the ups and downs of emotions are present at all times. I want to clarify that I did not see the anime but apparently, at least the characters, are quite faithful to it so that adds many points to this Netflix adaptation.
Several genres are handled, among them, thriller, survival, sci-fi and of course, live action. The chaos immersed in an apparent parallel reality generates feelings of terror and confusion in the protagonists and the viewer who do not know what is happening. The only thing they are sure of is that if they do not play the macabre games created by someone unknown, they will die. Thus begin a series of misadventures in that dystopia where what is at stake is life, which generates a horrible despair and, in these
moments is where true human nature comes to light. When the survival instinct comes to the surface, the baser instincts of the human being also emerge, capable of doing whatever is necessary to survive.
La serie hasta el momento cuenta con dos temporadas en las cuales, los vaivenes de emociones están presentes en todo momento. Quiero aclarar que no vi el anime pero al parecer, al menos los personajes, son bastantes fieles al mismo así que eso le suma muchos puntos a esta adaptación de Netflix.
Se manejan varios géneros, entre ellos, el de thriller, supervivencia, sci- fi y por supuesto, live action. El caos sumido en una aparente realidad paralela genera sentimientos de terror y confusión en los protas y el espectador que no saben bien que esta pasando. Lo único de lo que están seguros es que si no juegan los juegos macabros creados por alguien desconocido, morirán. Así comienzan una serie de desventuras en aquella distopia donde lo que esta en juego es la vida lo cual , genera una desesperación horrible y, en estos momentos es donde sale a relucir la verdadera naturaleza humana. Cuando sale a flor de piel el instinto de supervivencia, tambien emergen los instintos mas bajos del ser humano, capaz de hacer lo necesario para sobrevivir.
Similar to The Squid Game , both of the same genre but with marked differences. The participants to begin with, unlike the other series mentioned, are there without their will. They just showed up there and must have started without even knowing what it was about. Also, the world seems to have ended, like some sort of apocalypse which gives it an added catastrophe that gives it the extra touch of horror. You don't know if the game has an end or not, you don't know if you will be able to return to your original world and that generates even more despair, which is why I think Alice in Borderland is even more terrifying. There is no greater torture than uncertainty so they must play, with no other options available, even knowing that the possibility of returning to their normal lives is almost nil.
Parecido a El juego del Calamar , ambos del mismo género pero con diferencias marcadas. Los participantes para empezar, a diferencia de la otra serie mencionada, están allí sin su voluntad. Simplemente aparecieron ahí y debieron comenzar sin si quiera saber de que se trataba. También, el mundo parece haberse acabado, como una especie de apocalipsis lo cual le da un añadido de catástrofe que le da el toque extra de horror. No se sabe si el juego tiene fin o no, no se sabe si podrán volver a su mundo original y eso genera aun mas desesperación por lo que creo que Alice in Borderland, es aún mas aterradora. No hay tortura mas grande que la incertidumbre así que deberán jugar, sin otras opciones disponibles, aun sabiendo que la posibilidad de volver a sus vidas normales es casi nula.
I really liked the series (It reminded me of Saw as well). I think Netflix did a great job with it. I don't know if the story is faithful to the anime and manga but the characters are. It will remain to watch the anime to have a more complete opinion but what is the series, it generated me emotions of sadness and despair . I was able to empathize with all the characters, even with those I came to hate because I rethought the following question: What would I do if I fall into a world plunged into chaos and I must do everything to survive?
It's really interesting and I liked the games even more because they are cleverly designed and not everyone is able to pass them. In fact, I think I would have been dead long ago in those games ha,ha,ha,ha. The most impressive thing is that they show the difficulty of the game giving the characters an idea of what they are going to face and once they know it, it generates a relief or a huge void because they do not know what to expect because feelings will be involved in some occasions which will make it more difficult to make decisions.
The ending gives reason to believe that there will be a third season. I understood the message perfectly (I won't spoil it for you) but when I found out that the manga continues beyond that, it's obvious that it will continue. I hope they don't overexploit it and ruin it because it's really very good but I keep my hopes if the manga is followed (I didn't read it, I only saw opinions that it's very good). I just have to wait but in the meantime, I totally recommend it if you like this kind of series. It's not boring at all, you never know what to expect, that makes it more exciting and when you least realize it, you've had a marathon watching it.
La serie me gustó mucho (Me recordó a Saw tambien). Creo que Netflix hizo un gran trabajo con ella. No se si la historia es fiel al anime y manga pero los personajes si. Quedará ver el anime para tener una opinan mas completa pero lo que es la serie, me generó emociones de tristeza y desesperación . Pude empatizar con todos los personajes, incluso con los que llegué a odiar ya que me replantee la siguiente cuestión: ¿Qué haría yo si caigo en un mundo sumido en caos y debo hacer todo para sobrevivir?
Esta muy interesante la verdad y los juegos me gustaron aún mas ya que son planteados de forma inteligente donde no cualquiera es capaz de pasarlos. Es mas, yo creo que ya estaría muerta hace rato en esos juegos ja,ja,ja. Lo mas impresionante es que muestren la dificultad del juego dándoles una idea a los personajes de a que se van a enfrentar y una vez que lo saben, se genera un alivio o un enorme vacío ya que no saben que esperar porque los sentimientos se verán implicados en algunas ocasiones lo cual hará mas difícil el tomar decisiones.
El final da pie a que habrá una tercera temporada. Comprendí perfectamente el mensaje (No te lo espolearé) pero al enterarme que el manga sigue mas allá, es obvio que esto continuará. Espero no la sobreexploten y la arruinen porque realmente esta muy buena pero conservo mis esperanzas si es que se sigue el manga (No lo leí, solo vi opiniones de que esta muy bueno). Solo queda esperar pero mientras, te la recomiendo totalmente si te gusta este tipo de series. No es para nada aburrida, nunca sabes que esperar , eso la hace mas emocionante y cuando menos te das cuenta, te hiciste una maratón viéndola.
