Nightmare Alley is Guillermo del Toro's new film and it is a psychological thriller

Nightmare Alley / Searchlight Pictures
Based on the 1946 novel by William Lindsay Gresham, the cast includes Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen, and David Strathairn. The film's story begins when the charismatic Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper), wins the affection of the clairvoyant Zeena (Toni Collette) and her mentalist husband Pete (David Strathairn) at a traveling carnival. From here he creates a golden ticket to success using this newly acquired knowledge to fool the wealthy elite of 1940s New York society. With the virtuous Molly (Rooney Mara) loyally by his side, Stanton plans to scam a dangerous mogul (Richard Jenkins), with the help of a mysterious psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett). Who apparently could be his most formidable opponent.
The film's release is scheduled for December 17, making it compete with The Matrix. The truth is that one of the most striking things about the film will undoubtedly be the cast, under that director. Rarely do you enjoy so much talent together. December is going to be a month full of gifts, and the truth is that Christmas unites us wherever we are, that feeling of community is beautiful. I want each of us to have time to dedicate ourselves and to dedicate to others. I wish you a prosperous week.
