Ragnarok is a series created by Adam Price, co-produced by Denmark and Norway. The first season was released on January 31, 2020 and the second season premiered on May 27, 2021. The series offers us an entertaining cross between youth superhero movies and Norse mythology. During the first season we will meet Magne, a young man with dyslexia problems who arrives in a town called Edda with his mother and brother. This is where you will discover that he have a mission and that his physical abilities take on a new dimension. It is a classic beginning where the protagonist must learn to manage his powers while facing a stage of self-discovery in his life. The eternal struggle between good and evil represented by Gods and Giants. It stars David Stakston, Jonas Strand Gravli, Herman Tømmeraas, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, Synnøve Macody Lund, Danu Sunth, Emma Bones, Henriette Steenstrup, Gísli Örn Garðarsson, Ylva Thedin Bjørkaas and Odd-Magnus Williamson.

The second season looks better balanced and more engaging. If in the first the absolute protagonist is Magne, in the second it is his brother Laurits who assumes that role. Each of the six chapters begins with a brief sketch of some Nordic deity or myth in relation to the development of the episode, thus parading Sif, Loki, Týr, Odin, the Midgard serpent and the Mjölnir. This second season makes Saxa much more interesting and Iman, Magne's partner, is strongly incorporated in these new chapters. She is a young woman of Sri Lankan descent who discovers that she also has powers. The series addresses various current issues such as concern for the environment. The company run by the giants Vidar and Ran has polluted the water with its toxic waste. The young people of the town will resume activism and organize various activities. The other determining issue is identity. All the characters seek to get to know each other better and find obstacles along the way that lead them down a different path than the one they had planned to travel. Highly recommended, personally I really like Nordic productions. The premiere date of the third season is not yet said, but it has been confirmed. I read you in the comments and I wish you a prosperous day.
