Actually I was ready to give a rating of 4 for Rampage, even when just looking at the trailer. The film stars, not one, not two, but three wild animals ready to go crazy and make a mess. Animals are not just any wild animals, but mutant wild animals: giant gorillas, flying wolves, and monster crocodiles. Add anaconda gergasi, then I will sell the rating 5. And who else the actor who can sell the film is dumb if not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It seems impossible to make a boring movie from such a silly premise.
But this movie was not as ridiculous and as exciting as I thought. Of course when they go berserk in the city, throw a car, pounce on a helicopter, or ravage the building, the movie is so exciting, because no hellaw films are not exciting if showing these scenes. The attempt to create a credible plot is what keeps him from becoming a hqq movie.
Do we need a lengthy explanation of how something happened? Do we care about the conspiracies of a cruel research company? Do we believe that the film presents an analogy of 9/11 tragedy when it previously featured the death of an antagonist for comical purposes? Quickly take the 4 monsters (I put Dwayne Johnson into account) to town and let them do what they have to do.
As we know, this film is lifted from one of the game engine dingdong. The sentence is a trick statement. If you immediately nodded when reading it, then you have become papa / mama millenial generation. Or at least om / tante millenial generation.

How to play a simple Rampage game: we can control one of the 3 monsters to destroy the city as it breaks down while avoiding a counterattack from the military. This monster is originally a mutated human being. But the film replaced it with an animal infected with a toxic serum made by Engyne Corp. To tell us how dangerous the serum is, the film opens with an extraterrestrial station ravaged by a mutant mouse. I ask that he please make his own film.
This serum falls into 3 places: a forest, a swamp, and a nature reserve. The last place happened to be inhabited by George, an intelligent albino gorilla who best friends with Dwayne Johnson who this time the opportunity to play as a primate expert named Davis Okoye. Of course, it was not surprising to find out that Davis was a soldier before, because this movie would need him to pilot a helicopter and carry a gun.
Surely, the sudden emergence of these monsters is impossible to get caught, and the government is trying desperately to neutralize them. This is a movie that requires a cyclone in which the responsibility holders must always be stubborn and ignore the advice of experts in their field (ahem, satire little guessed intellect), for greater disaster can happen. In this case, Rampage did not disappoint. Foolish decisions give our monster a chance to get crazy.
The first ranks of the matter of ignorance are the two brothers Engyne Corp, Claire (Malin Akerman) and Brett (Jake Lacy) who have a brilliant idea to lure these 3 monsters to their main building which is in the middle of town just to take a piece of DNA. How do they do it? Who cares. If you start to question logic, then it's worth remembering that Claire and Brett lure monsters into their building as THEY STILL BE IN THE BUILDING!
There is no need for logic because it is simply a prologue so that our monsters can gather in one place while ruffling anything along their path. It is not clear how to stop this gigantic monstrous monster, even if I recall the flavor of the film using a vaccine plot device. Huft. Actually no need anyway, because we already have DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON!
If the movie stops there and instead of presenting more riots caused by monsters, then I will not diminish the 4 rating plan. However, there are few rather serious nuances that try to be presented through the character of Naomi Harris who played as a former scientist Engyne Corp and the friendship between Davis and George. This is not wrong actually, but the tone is not so ngeklik with the film as a whole, so it feels a bit awkward.
The only other additive material that I enjoy is Jeffrey Dean Morgan who gives the appearance of being very aware that he is playing in what kind of movie. In his cool, cool-haired manner, he claims to be a secret agent that is not a CIA, FBI, or Justice League, but OGA, "Other Government Agency" in charge of clearing up missions. One of his team members was Joe Manganiello who disappeared instantly before he had a chance to show off a sixpack.
The film involves a team from San Andreas, a disastrous film that also stars Johnson, including director Brad Peyton. The special effects are convincing, and Peyton seems quite capable of handling a huge spectacle involving gigantic monsters and spectacular destruction. It's easy to keep up with the chaos that he presents at the new peak moment present in the last 15 minutes. I hope all this happens early, because to be honest, the part before it was pretty boring. Perhaps this movie would be much more fun if he was not shy to look completely ridiculous.
