From comics, novels, anime to Hollywood was 'infected' zombie outbreaks are featured in this game. In the first Resident Evil (RE), gamers are made curious about who the big house occupants actually are located outside the city of Racoon City.
Since then, the RE series has undergone changes not only from the characters in the game, but the game's location background changes.
Despite a lot of scathing criticism in the last two RE series - Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 - Capcom, as the developer of Resident Evil series of games meped out everything in the latest series, Resident Evil VII (RE7).
Not wanting to repeat the same mistake in the last two RE series, Capcom ventured to 'brew' the more terrifying and frightening RE7 story inspired by the old slasher movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Officially launched on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, Tekno Liputan6.com also had the opportunity to 'dive' this latest game Capcom. Read on to review the Resident Evil 7 that we present below.

Taking the background of a swamp in the interior of the city of Louisiana, Capcom's 7th game featured a new lead character named Ethan Winters.Ethan was surprised to find a video featuring Mia - the wife - who allegedly died 3 years earlier, but was still alive. Wanting to find out about his wife, Ethan decided to explore this rural Louisiana area.
Mia's quest finally brought Ethan to a mysterious house and surroundings in the midst of a moist Louisiana swamp belonging to the Baker family.
Can Ethan find Mia? Who's the Baker family actually? The trick, you have to play this Resident Evil 7 game yourself.
Like in a movie thriller, RE7 begins with an atmosphere that seemed mediocre. Although indeed, some things in the early game had made our heart beat fast.
The atmosphere in the game reminded us with thriller games and other horror survival, such as Alien: Isolation and Amnesia. Not only that, the change of perspective also reminded us to the two games.
Yup, Capcom took the courageous decision to carry the point of view in a different game in the previous series, the first person view.

Even so, RE7 still uses the same formula with the initial series RE. You will find RE's various features, such as medicinal plants that can heal wounds, various item boxes, challenging puzzles, and a variety of strange creatures and members of the Baker family to be resisted of course. The first few hours before finding a weapon, this game feels very different from what Capcom has done before. We were fascinated by a series of startling and gripping moments that were well laid out.
In RE7, Capcom manages to exploit the human nature of being afraid of the unknown and making this RE series the scariest ever.
However, the horror turned into courage once we found the first weapon - a 9mm pistol - in the game, and the long-known impression of the RE series was again felt in the game. However, it does not mean RE7 lost its horror after we found the weapon.
Despite having weapons, ammunition in the game is quite limited. When confronted with monsters, we are forced to consider whether the equivalent ammunition is used to kill the 'keroco' that appears or save it to face a more severe opponent.
Since we can only carry a limited number of weapons and items, we must always set the strategy at all times. Several times, we are faced into situations where we have to face opponents with limited space, and opponents who move erratically.
However, this is what makes RE7 different from previous RE series and other similar games. When faced with members of the Baker family, we have to recognize their own pattern of attacks and movements.
