Darkest Hour is a British production documentary filmed by filmmaker Joe Wright. Wright is a filmmaker we know working on quality films, Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. The film stars starring actor Gary Oldman who plays British prime minister Winston Churchill and is supported by Lily James, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Ben Mendelsohn. Oldman has won dozens of best actor awards including in the recent Golden Globe event, and it seems only a matter of time to win an Oscar in the Academy Awards next March.
Last year, Dunkirk's moments in World War II were filmed very well by Christopher Nolan. The focus of the story of this film is simply an action that illustrates how the struggles of allied warriors and British citizens in this event. While Darkest Hour is at the same moment, it's just that we get different perspectives through the feud between the new prime minister and his political opponents. Winston Churchill was a tough and firm figure whose politician opponents did not favor even the king of England.
