Netflix releases so many shows that sometimes I can not write about everything. This is not a review, rather a few thoughts about the series "Russian Doll", which is already on the platform for several weeks.
"Russian Doll" is an unusual comedy from Amy Poehler and Natasha Lyonne who also plays the main roles in the series. Amy Poehler is a well-known name in the comedy world, which you can associate with "Saturday Night Live" Natasha you can remember as Nicky Nichols from "Orange Is the New Black”. "Russian Doll" is a series with the second bottom, not accidentally refers to the so-called Matryoshka or Russian doll, in which inside you can find smaller ones. The series is multi-layered and tells story of a 36-year-old woman who constantly dies and wakes up in the same place and at the same time. A bit like "Groundhog Day", but with a philosophical flair and absurd humor. The production is perfect for a longer evening, eight 30-minute episodes will provide great entertainment.
It was a real good entertainment for Saturday night.
