Dear White People - a series which is worth catching up.

Review by @anaerwu · 2536d · of Dear White People

Netflix announced premiere of Volume 3 Dear White People on 2 of August, I'm so excited. That's why I will remind you a bit of the story because it's one of those series that I watched completely without remorse in one evening. And had its premiere in 2016's so even if you watched it you can forget a bit about the main plot.

If it seems to you that racism does not exist in the modern world, because no one beats people on the streets for a different skin color, then look at it more; Dear white people" is the story of a group of black students from a prestigious college who try to explain what does it mean being a privilege to their white colleagues.

It is difficult to say how faithfully the American realities are presented here and how much the story remains credible, but regardless of it is a good, addictive series, which gives an impulse to bend over the problem. Fans of the Oscar-winning Moonlight may be convinced by the fact that Barry Jenkins stood behind the camera during the shooting of one of the episodes. I plan to make up for a movie with the same title from 2014.

Although the topic is not trivial, Dear white people is a light and accessible proposal that does not harm a person. Against the backdrop of considerations about equal rights and equal treatment, were presented the fates of a group of main heroes who experience their everyday youthful dramas - failed relationships, pressure from parents, problems related to a newly-conscious sexual orientation, unhappy love.
