Hola Hive!

Hi Hive! How are you? Today I come with a recommendation/review of what is the first part of a Netflix series that came out a few weeks ago, it is based on the book by Silvia Zucca and is called "Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts". I like astrology a lot and I found it very interesting and my boyfriend who is not a big fan also found it light and entertaining.

Centered in Milan, Italy, it tells us how the life of production assistant Alice is influenced when she meets an astrology aficionado who decides to start mentoring her to improve her love life, since it has been pretty disastrous since her long time boyfriend left her and it is even worse since he is engaged and expecting a baby. This guru introduces our protagonist to astrology, from the horoscope to the astrological chart. We are presented with one chapter per sign of the zodiac in which a person of this sign will have an important interaction, either a date or a work matter with our protagonist who is a Libra, one of the most important cliffhangers is that we do not know the sign of the love interest of our protagonist, although by their attitudes we have some clues. Another interesting element of the series is that we have the conflict of whether astrology is a true science and something to be trusted or if it is just nonsense that we should not pay attention to.

Alice, our protagonist is starred by Claudia Gusmano, an actress of some fame in Italy and Tio, the guru is portrayed by Lorenzo Adorni, together they show us the beautiful and the not so beautiful of a true friendship.

One of the best things about the series is that you can identify with it (not because you are a Libra like the protagonist, which is my case) but because it shows us that reality of being almost in your thirties, when you are not quite an adult but you are no longer a teenager and you are still assimilating life and everything it brings, love, work, family all this shown in a satirical and funny way. Maybe it is not an Emmy worthy series, but it is worth to watch bingear in an afternoon, since the chapters are short, so we learn some astrology while we laugh in the attempt.

That's it for today, I hope you liked it, thanks for making it this far. Good bye!
