Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)

War for the Planet of the Apes was a great trilogy led by two great directors, and more than a decade later comes this new sequel by Wes Ball, best known for The Maze Runner

Time spans 300 years. On the plus side it maintains the good CGI we had in the previous installments, making some mistakes by recycling some designs, but it is still well done with the designs that our protagonist and worthy band has to offer.

An epic experience. moments in various scenarios. It has good action, an interesting hero path and a style reminiscent of the previous Legends Part III and other adventure classics.

The new cast of protagonists, although not yet well developed, is very well done and has its own charm, especially its supporting characters, who are still a bit off the level of the characters we had in previous sagas, although they are small.

As for the villain, he's pretty typical, he lives up to what is expected of him, but he won't be a memorable character and is far behind other characters in our universe, such as Koba.

The story of the new universe, while probably leaving some questions, is interesting, especially in terms of the development of the new primates' abilities and how human society and animals have evolved over the years, but some parts of the plot are not entirely convincing, especially the parts about the humans.

It is worth noting its pace, which for many may be long, especially in the last part, where the quality drops a bit, it has a predictable ending and has some conveniences to resolve the plot.

Even so, although I think this film is the worst of the previous trilogy, it is still a fun adventure that does not innovate anything and follows the structure of other entries we have seen, but it is still a fun adventure film.

A new saga that could potentially improve certain aspects such as the characters and provide better explanations to certain mysteries could provide us with an interesting saga.
