This is a drama film directed by Robert Benton and released in 1979. The film tells the story of Ted Kramer, played by Dustin Hoffman, who is faced with the responsibility of raising his son alone after his wife, played by Meryl Streep, leaves him.

The screenplay of "Kramer vs. Kramer" is based on the novel of the same name written by Avery Corman.
