This is a romantic film written and directed by Jim Strouse who in 2007 won the audience award at the Sundance Film Festival for Grace Is Gone starring John Cusack which was his directorial debut.
The screenplay was written based on the 2016 German film SMS für Dich, which itself was an adaptation of Sofie Cramer's novel of the same name as the German version.
The plot revolves around Mira Ray, played by Miss World 2020 beauty pageant winner Priyanka Chopra, who has an extensive career in Hindi cinema and is known for her role in the TV series Quantico, who after losing her fiancé tries to soften her grief by sending romantic text messages to his old cell phone number.

But there is a detail that she ignores and is that the number has been reassigned to another person who reads them without answering them and coincidentally also lives his stage of grief after being abandoned by his fiancée, this is a journalist and is given the task of interviewing the famous singer Celine Dion, who ends up being part of the drama between these two people and the film is his film debut.
The role of Rob Burns is played by Sam Heughan, known and awarded for being the star of the TV series Outlander where he plays Jamie Fraser.
The film was made for 9 million dollars and will be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
The critical opinion of the specialists has been negative, many consider it cloying, with a repetitive script, and without many expectations, however it has been approved by the public who consider that the performance of the cast is good and that the theme never goes out of fashion.
The collection so far has exceeded 3 million dollars in less than two months of release and the title that was handled at some points for it was ""It's All Coming Back to Me"" name of a song by singer Celine Dion but in the end remained the current one. The name under which it is marketed in Spanish is "Amor a primer mensaje".
Personally I think it meets the standards for those who like dramatic and romantic movies.
