This is a dramatic thriller based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Jane Harper.

Directed by Robert Connolly, the film immerses us in the story of Aaron Falk, a federal agent who returns to his hometown in Australia after many years.

The plot revolves around the mysterious death of his childhood friend Luke Hadler and his family.

The tragedy occurs in the midst of a severe drought that has ravaged the town, leaving its inhabitants in despair and hopelessness. As Aaron investigates Luke's death, he unravels a web of secrets and lies that have plagued the town for years.

The film is notable for its tense, suffocating atmosphere, masterfully reflecting the emotional and psychological impact the drought has had on the characters and the community as a whole.

The barren, desolate landscapes help to create a sense of oppression and despair, while the plot unfolds with surprising twists and shocking revelations.

Through Aaron Falk's journey, the film explores the complexities of personal relationships, hidden secrets and the ties that bind a community together, even in difficult times.

It is a film that effectively combines drama, intrigue and suspense, enveloping the viewer in a captivating and emotional story.
