Can I do a full review if I didn't finish the movie?

I turned it off... it wasn't a bad movie... not really...

It just hit every cliche I despise about movies that have a white saviour show up in a small poor town and saves the brown people living there.

Made worse by the fact that... THATS NOT WHAT HAPPENED!!

The story is about cross country runners who happened to be Latin American in one of the poorest areas of the states. They ran fast and they won a lot of championships.

The coach didn't just show up and create the program.

It's such a colonial concept to have a white guy come in, see how bad brown people have it and show us a way to save ourselves.

I've been ticked at Disney movies before but wanted to get into the background of the real story.

It's a good story. It's a great story. The movie should've been about the runners and what they went through to pursue their dreams because they had their own ambition.

So I looked up the filmmakers.

The same director of this movie did Whale Rider... she's the one that rewrite ten thousand years of history to suit her view of how Indians must be.

Not cool
