Hello all you cool cats and kittens. I finally got around to watching Tiger King. The show didn't look like my cup of tea but after all the fuss and memes I had to check it out, and I have to admit it was worth it.

Normally in any show, movie or even reality show, it usually isn't that hard to determine who you're rooting for but, the more episodes I watched, the more I realized the whole cast is batshit crazy. And you know what? I love it!

The plot revolves around each involved party using their own approach to give their big cats the best chances at survival in their own hypocritical and sometimes sadistic way.

Who's using the most humane way? I don't know. Doc allegedly euthanizes his animals as soon as they don't have anymore financial value, Joe has done the same with at least 5 tigers and although Carole hasn't had any such allegation, many of her cats have magically disappeared over the years just like Don Lewis, her first husband.

Plus all 3 of them are exploitive. Joe only pays 120-150$ dollars to his employees per week, Doc pays 100, and Carole pays them nothing under the guise that her employees are volunteers while her and her cucked hubby rack in the big bucks.

But being in the big cat business I guess it's only fitting that all 3 of them are very predatory. Carole with her employees, Joe with the very young men that he marries who are in most cases addicts, and Doc with the very young ladies who get to move up in ranks in his organization much faster if they sleep with him, often end up marrying him.
But as if their lives was meant to for tv from their births, both Joe and Carol have some really tragic back stories, enough to make you understand why they treat others the way they do, making you root for them until they crank up the crazy 20 minutes later. We don't that much about Doc's past.

And oh yeah, that's just in the first 3 episodes. Lots of new moving parts get introduced as the show goes on, each coming in with their own treacherous ways and schemes.

Recommend?:

Yes, I recommend it. It doesn't matter whether or not you're into reality shows, trailer trash shenanigans or animal docuseries. I'm not, I loved the series and I can guarantee you is that it's one hell of a rollercoaster.

Real Life Plot twist:

I find it hilarious how the series led to the case looking into Carole Baskin's first husband disappearance getting reopened.

No I don't think Joe is as innocent as he claims but with the way everybody did him dirty even though many were worse than him, makes him the lesser of plenty evils in my book.

Dude is actually talented. So much so that if he manages to get released early he could easily focus on a singing career since he has already built some buzz and knows how to commend attention. I mean, The show ends when he plans on snitching on some of the cast. Who knows, maybe he could pull off a Tekashi 69. A 69 2.0
