
Based on the same name by Stephen King, the film is adapted to the white screen by master director Stanley Kubrick; writer Jack Torrance discusses metaphysical events that occurred after the family moved to the hotel, taking care of the Overlook Hotel, closed during the winter season. Jack's little son with supernatural intuition sees time that they are not alone in the hotel, they live with past and future ghosts, and try to convince the family. When the family is stranded in this hotel, which is located in the mountains due to a snow storm, Jack is captured by supernatural beings and gradually begins to lose their mind.
