Every American film that tells about military operations in the Middle East must be related to terrorists who attacked the sovereignty of the United States population, and every film that is concerned with fighting against terrorist groups is also always linked to the bombing of the WTC building on 9/11 in 2001.
Just like the film entitled 12 STRONG which I just watched tonight, this film tells the story of 12 special forces from the United States army who went to Afghanistan in 2001 to fight the Taliban terrorist group and also the Al Qaeda terrorist group because they attacked the WTC building, causing many Americans to die in the incident.

This film, directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, stars Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shanon, Navid Negahban and other great actors. This film was released in 2018 and received a rating of 7.7 out of 10 points according to the IMDB site.
Here's a little of the storyline from the film 12 STRONG
Shortly after the bombing of the WTC building in New York, 12 United States soldiers led by Nelson, upon arrival at the American air base in Uzbekistan, these 12 soldiers were asked to join the Afghan army led by General Dostum, because Dostum and his troops were also wants to attack the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
After Nelson's group of 12 people met Dostum in Afghanistan, they immediately prepared a strategy to fight against the Taliban.

They managed to defeat several villages occupied by the Taliban easily because Nelson's troops and Dostum's troops were also assisted by air attacks from the American military.
And in the end, Nelson and Dostum had a slight disagreement because America sent its soldiers again to join Atta Mohammed's troops, who were Dostum's rivals.
Dostum was reluctant to help Team Nelson because there were American troops also on Atta Mohammed's side, who was his rival. Because Nelson and 11 of his other colleagues had been given the task of eradicating the Taliban and Al Qaeda, they finally continued fighting against these terrorists without help from Dostum.

While fighting against the Taliban forces, Nelson and his 11 friends had difficulty because of the many enemies they faced, suddenly Dostum and his men returned to the battlefield to help Nelson and his friends until they fought the battle against all the Taliban terrorists and Al Qaeda terrorists who is in Afghanistan.

My opinion about this film
In my view, this is a very well made film, Chris Hemsworth's action and acting as the main character in this film is perfect, all the American soldiers are shown to be very dashing in their military attire.

The choice of shooting location is also very good with the theme of the desert and Sahara desert which is very similar to places in Afghanistan, I even wonder whether the filming location for this film was actually in Afghanistan or just in a studio with CGI effects added.
Likewise, the actors who play Middle Easterners in this film, they really master their roles as Middle Easterners, their tone of voice in Arabic is very good which makes me really enjoy every conversation scene in Arabic in this film.
This film also shows several emotional scenes, such as the ferocity of terrorists who were willing to kill a mother in front of her children just because they were taught to read and write.
Is this a doctrine for us that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are very evil or is it just a scene made for a film, but in every film related to terrorists from the Middle East there is always one that shows a very brutal scene like this.
From the beginning, the story of this film was filled with emotion, when the 12 soldiers in the film asked permission from their wives and children, it was a very sad scene for me because those who wanted to go on duty to the Middle East could not promise their families that they would return home safely.
Likewise, in the final scene which shows the 12 soldiers returning home safely to their families, the tearful feeling of emotion and longing from the families of each soldier who continues to wait for their arrival really makes this film look even more touching.
Sometimes I also often see scenes like this shared in amateur videos posted on Instagram and Tiktok. Every American soldier who manages to return home after serving in the Middle East is always greeted by his family with great joy, which is very touching.
In my opinion, this is a very good film and very suitable to watch with the family in your spare time, the story and action of the film also look reasonable which means that every viewer will definitely not regret it after spending 130 minutes watching this very exciting and tense film.
In conclusion
Love and fight for your country as you love your own family, because loving your homeland is part of loving yourself, like Nelson and his 11 friends who were willing to leave their families to save their country from the terrorist threat of the Taliban and Al Qaeda, they were even willing to make his life was at stake in order to save his country's sovereignty.
