Robbery is a very exciting film theme and is always my goal to keep me entertained. Apart from telling about the life of a police officer and robbery, the film I just watched also has a very touching, sad story between a father and his daughter.
This film is entitled Detective Knight Independence, this film directed by Edward Drake stars a great actor named Bruce Willies as James Knight, Willow Shields as Ally and Jack Kilmer as Dezi.
The synopsis of this film tells the story of a policeman who always wants to protect himself and his children from every crime. Behind the policeman's good intentions, it turns out there is also a good young man who turns into a bank robber because he is disappointed with the law in his country and his innocence and unfair treatment. insulting the Health Institution where he worked towards him.
This 91 minute film opens with a shootout between a group of bank robbers in the city of Boston and police officers. In this action, all the robbers were successfully paralyzed by the police team led by Detective James Knight.
Several police officers also died in the shooting because the bank robbers also had weapons. After the shooting ended, the emergency medical team came to save any victims caused by the incident.
This emergency health team consists of 2 people named Ally and Dezi, both of whom have been dating for a long time. After successfully providing assistance to one of the victims in the shooting incident, the next day Dezi was summoned to the Emergency Health Institution Office to be interrogated by his manager.
During the interrogation with the manager of the Emergency Health Institute, Dezi was asked by his superiors why he did not save any criminals in yesterday's incident. Dezi answered that he would rather save a victim than save a criminal.
What was very painful in the interrogation process was that in the end Dezi was fired for his kindness because the victim that Dezi saved actually sued the Health Institution because he was traumatized by Dezi's actions when he saved the victim.
Never mind Dezi, I was very annoyed to see the film's story being made in such a way, here we are shown a flashback about Dezi's family, Dezi has a father who owns a shelter home for abandoned children.
Due to his frustration, Dezi finally decided to steal one of the uniforms of the policeman who was killed during the bank robbery tragedy yesterday. He also stole the dead policeman's gun from the dead room.
It didn't stop there, Dezi also studied every move the police made, starting from how to walk, how to talk, how to use weapons to how to dress as a police officer via YouTube because he really did his best to become a fake police officer.
Then Dezi decided to go to the bank where the robbery had just occurred yesterday, wearing the police uniform he had stolen.
The bank manager, who thought Dezi was a real police officer, finally allowed Dezi to inspect the bank, so Dezi was also taken to the safe, bro, to be shown the various contents of the safe.

After observing all the guard's movements and the safe code, Dezi finally went home and told the bank manager that the bank was under control.
When he was about to go home, a woman suddenly approached Dezi and asked him to help the woman's husband. Dezi, who was hesitant to help, initially refused to help the woman's husband on the grounds that he was not on duty.
However, because the woman was very panicked and kept begging, Dezi finally wanted to help the woman's husband. It turned out that after being brought to the scene of the incident, the woman's husband was being beaten by 4 thugs.
Full of doubt, Dezi started pointing his gun at the thugs to save the woman's husband. Some of the thugs fought back, which caused Dezi to accidentally fire a shot which killed all the thugs.
When he arrived home, Dezi was now visited by his girlfriend, Ally, who was still working as a team member at the Emergency Health Institute. Ally told Dezi that today he had just evacuated a body that had been shot by a fake police officer. When he heard this, Dezi was very surprised and said that it was is the work of the public who want to lower the self-esteem of the police.
It turns out that Ally is the daughter of James Knight, a very great police detective. James has never met his child because he has divorced Ally's mother because according to Ally's mother, James is too focused on his work and has no time for his family.
Currently, Ally and James don't know each other as father and daughter, besides, Ally's mother doesn't allow James to meet Ally even on her birthday.
Now Dezi goes to his father's place, even though his father has a shelter for abandoned children, his father has to support the children from his own money and there is no funding whatsoever from the government, and currently his father is in need of money.
Therefore, Dezi invited his father to rob a bank in Boston which had already been robbed yesterday because Dezi also knew the architectural blueprints and the key to the safe in the bank to finance his father's shelter.
Then Dezi's father sent two of his men to accompany Dezi's actions. With all of Dezi's knowledge and his disguise as a police officer, they succeeded in robbing the same bank.
James Knight, who is a policeman, did not remain silent after learning that a bank was being robbed. James and his men immediately went to the bank to hunt down the robbers.
As usual, the Emergency Health Team came to the scene to save every victim. Dezi, who saw the ambulance being driven by Ally, immediately hijacked the ambulance to escape.
James did not remain silent and immediately chased after the ambulance. After the chase ended, Dezi was now trapped in a field where there was a demonstration commemorating United States Independence Day.

After seeing her father's two men shot dead, now Dizi decided to make Ally a hostage so that she wouldn't be shot by the police. Ally, who was facing her father James, immediately called James "Dad".

After successfully biting Dezi's arm, which caused Dezi to drop his gun, James immediately shot Dezi, causing her to immediately lie on the ground. However, Dezi was not shot dead and the story ended.
That's the story of the review of the film Detective Knight Independence, it seems like I regretted it a little after watching this film because for me the story was too monotonous and there were no exciting points, it's only natural that this film got a rating of 3.6 from the IMDB site.
The plot twist of the story is also very easy to guess which makes the film's storyline look very monotonous, however this is also an exciting film to watch with the family because the story line is easy to understand.
Conclusion
Every evil was not created by himself but was created by people who were irresponsible and had blind hearts. At first Dezi was a good young man, but because he was not appreciated he turned into a terrible monster.
And we also shouldn't trust anyone in this world except our own family, even though Dezi and Ally have been dating for a long time, he is willing to hurt Ally for her own safety, and James as Ally's parent is always willing to protect his daughter even though his services are sometimes forgotten by his ex-wife.
