Lately I have been addicted to watching Hollywood action films which have a storyline about a secret agent with extraordinary combat abilities. After watching the very cool film The Bourne Ultimatum yesterday, finally I have just watched the next film from The Bourne series which is entitled The Bourne Legacy.

This film was released in 2012 and has a duration of 135 minutes. Even though it has a long duration, every tense action in this film looks very exciting which makes me feel that spending 2 hours and 15 minutes is very short.

This film, directed by Tony Gilroy, stars one of the great actors from Hollywood named Jeremy Renner as Aaron, Rachel Weisz as Dr Marta, Edward Norton as Colonel Erik and other great actors.

The synopsis of the film The Bourne Legacy tells the story of a CIA agent who is part of the Outcome program named Aaron who is fighting to save his life because CIA officials want to kill every former Outcome Agent so that this program is not revealed to the public like the Treadstone Program and the Blackbriar Program in the film The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Ultimatum previously.

The Outcome Program itself has a program to create Agents with fighting abilities that exceed the capacity of ordinary humans like Supermen, but what makes this program illegal is that every Outcome Agent must be dependent on drugs.

If you do not regularly consume these drugs within the specified time, each agent will experience a terrible disease that can cause death.

After undergoing a closed meeting, finally one of the top CIA agents named Erik decided to close the Outcome program by killing every Outcome Agent who was spread throughout the world.

This is what amazed me about the CIA's working system. First, it was shown that the CIA poisoned its Outcome Agent who was in Korea by giving a new drug to one of its agents.

He said the medicine was better than the previous medicines, so the agent consciously drank it, which made him die on the spot. What surprised me was, when it was shown that CIA agents were in Korea, the CIA agents were real Koreans and not Americans who went to Korea to become spies.

In my mind it occurred to me, it's only natural that every secret of a country is known by the Americans, it turns out that they take the citizens of that country to be trained as CIA spy agents, if those sent are Native Americans it will be very easy for the enemy to recognize them. this is really a very clever program from the CIA.

Likewise, agents in Pakistan and elsewhere in the world were all killed after taking the new drug. When CIA officials wanted to kill Aaron who was in Alaska using a missile fired from a drone, Aaron managed to survive because he was a CIA agent who was very clever at protecting himself from danger.

After successfully shooting down the drone, Aaron knew that it was the CIA who had just wanted to kill him. Aaron immediately flew to New York to meet a scientist named Dr Marta.

Dr Marta herself is the only female doctor who managed to survive an assassination attempt by someone disguised as a fake doctor at the Outcome Program's laboratory.

Luckily, Aaron met Dr. Marta at the right time, because if he had been even a little late, Dr. Marta would have died because other CIA agents wanted to kill him.

After saving Dr. Marta from the assassination attempt, it was shown that Aaron wanted to meet Dr. Marta to ask for the medicines he usually consumed which were given by the CIA.

Because if Aaron hasn't taken this medicine for a long time, he will feel weak. If understood more broadly, this medicine has the same function as drugs which damage the body and make everyone who consumes it addicted.

Because Dr. Marta didn't have the medicine and the Outcome Laboratory had also been destroyed, they finally decided to fly to the Philippines because the illegal drug was produced in a drug factory in the Philippines.

After the CIA Office received information that Aaron and Dr Marta had headed to the Philippines, the CIA immediately sent assassin agents from Thailand to hunt down those who were in the Philippines.

After struggling to save themselves from being attacked by the Philippine police and killing each other with a very powerful Assassin Agent sent by the CIA, Aaron and Dr Marta finally managed to survive and succeeded in paralyzing the Assassin Agent sent by the CIA.

However, Aaron fainted and became unconscious because Dr Marta had just given him an antidote so that Aaron would no longer be dependent on the Outcome Program's medicines.

In the final scene of this film, a flashback is also shown from the previous film The Bourne Ultimatum, Noah, the leader of the Blackbriar program, has now been tried in court, while information about the Treadstone and Blackbriar programs has been leaked to the public by a high-ranking agent from the CIA, namely Pamela Landy who decided to petrify Jason Bourne in the previous film.

At the end of the film, we are shown that Aaron and Dr Marta have managed to escape from the CIA and are now planning to live somewhere so they can live in peace.

I think this is a very good film, the story is laid out very neatly and every tense action in this film can really amaze and impress the audience.

However, I feel a little strange about this film, because if you look closely, the story of this film deviates slightly from the story of the previous film series The Bourne, but all the ways in this film look interesting through the great actions of each CIA Agent who played by great actors such as Jeremy Renner who is also one of the great actors in the film Avanger who plays Hawk Eye.

Watching this film immediately made my mind feel fresh again because the storyline was full of interesting surprises.

Conclusion

Continue to improve your quality all the time because we never know that the people around us who we trust could betray us if they no longer need our services, just like every Outcome Agent who is killed by his own employer, luckily Aaron is good at it. protect himself so that he can survive the assassination attempt.

And we also have to always be kind to everyone, because we never know who will help us when we are down, like Dr Marta who was willing to help Aaron to cure his addiction to drugs from the Outcome program.

This is a review of the film The Bourne Legacy, see you in the next film review.
