As I mentioned in my profile, I'm a fan of K-Drama series, so I wanted to share my review of an amazing one called "Encounter."
This South Korean drama series starred two famous actors, Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo-gum. These two are among my favorite actors in South Korea.
This is a story about two individuals with vastly different and opposing backgrounds. Cha Soo-hyun, played by Song Hye-Kyo, is the CEO of a large and prestigious hotel. She is the daughter of a politician and was being forced into an unhappy marriage with a son of a wealthy conglomerate.
While Kim Jin-hyeok, played by Park Bo-gum, is a carefree photographer with not much wealth in his name. But he has a loving family.
Their paths crossed accidentally in Cuba, where the two of them had their different work-related errands. I really love the episodes that were filmed in Cuba.
It's really mesmerizing and can make you fall in love with the beautiful visuals. Although it was only a brief encounter, it somehow began to deepen their connection.
They meet again when Kim Jin-hyeok starts working at their hotel, and their connections deepen despite the differences in their social status and the criticism from those opposed to them.
This K-drama series is a beautiful portrayal that proves age gap, social status, and financial status are not hindrances to being in love.
It's a drama with a unique romance portraying a mature and heartwarming love story. The two lead stars have good chemistry, and the rest of the cast are all superb. This is a feel-good story with a satisfying and happy ending.
So, if you like to watch romance dramas that focus on character development, amazing visuals, and a feel-good story, this is for you, and this is generally highly recommendable.
I have watched this K-drama two times already, but I still would love to re-watch it. That's why I would love to recommend this to you as well. It's truly worth watching. 😊❤
