Prior to watching the last Avengers movie, I did the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie watching challenge. I didn't exactly rewatch all MCU films in order per day but I did watch some of the important ones. One of them is Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Since I can't do a review of Avengers: Endgame yet without including spoilers, I'll write about Avengers: Age of Ultron instead. Oh wait, I did write a short spoiler free review a few days ago. Read it here.

The supersoldier who wields a vibranium shield.

◙ Scarlet Johannson plays Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow

A very skilled spy, trained in combat and espionage.

◙ Jeremy Renner plays Clint Barton / Hawkeye

Another skilled spy whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow.

Heyy @artgirl, before I watch End Game, I also want to watch some previous Avengers movies to catch up. This is my current list: 1- Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) 2- Captain America Civil War (2016) 3- Avengers Infinity War (2018)

I know there are other Marvel movies in between, but I think these are the main ones before watching End Game I guess. Any suggestions?

But in real life, we do not have the Avengers.

This summarizes a comment I made to another post regarding super heroes (A. EndGame, actually). One of the negative thing I see in super heroes movies, and I love the genre, is the false sense of optimism it may plant in us,especiallyin our youth. There are things,enemies, dangers (some actually quite rudimentary, such as political corruption and greed) against which the average person can't do much. Even groups of people, even through heroic and sacrificial acts, can't affect much the state of things. I think that the creative minds of this generation have to come up with super heroic ways to turn the average person into something else when it comes to fighting every day evils and more so when we have to fight powerful economic and political forces.

This movie is my biggest disappointment of all the MCU series. Ultron is a horrible, weak opponent, Sokovia is so stereotypical place, and the worst part is romance between Black Widow and Hulk.
