Hola queridos amigos de #moviesandtvshows, tenía tiempo sin pasar por aquí, para ser exactos 3 meses, je, je, je estuve juzgando mucho mis reseñas. Sin embargo ya he venido haciendo algunas reseñas para compartirlas con ustedes. Esta es una de ellas, la grabé hace semanas. Aunque no pude traducirlo porque era bastante engorroso, quise intentar nuevamente con el formato video porque sentía más libertad de expresarme.

Así que espero que lo disfruten y me dejen saber sus opiniones al respecto.

Hello dear friends of #moviesandtvshows, it's been a while since I've been here, to be exact 3 months, heh, heh, heh I've been judging my reviews a lot. However I have already been doing some reviews to share with you. This is one of them, I recorded it weeks ago. Although I couldn't translate it because it was quite cumbersome, I wanted to try again with the video format because I felt more freedom to express myself.

So I hope you enjoy it and let me know your opinions about it.

Basically I share with you my opinion to Netflix's black humor and drama series called, Insatiable. This was a series premiered in 2018 on the streaming platform and has two seasons nothing more due to the cancellation of the third season. If you have read some synopsis of this series as follows:

Insatiable tells us about the life of a teenage girl named Paty Bladell who takes revenge on the people who made fun of her physique in high school?

I can tell you that you were fooled, I fell for it too. I innocently thought it was a juvenile series dealing with trivia and sometimes I like to watch them because it relaxes me. However, those synopses that are all over the tabloids are a fallacy. To me Insatiable is a metaphor for the situations that are brought up in the series in a grotesque and uncomfortable way many times.

Paty Bladell is one of the characters I hated the most in the series, she is full of a personality that is not satiated "always wants more" and many times there is no sense about what she wants. She runs into the character Bob Armstrong, who will be her partner in illogical situations, a super toxic and strange duo.

Meanwhile, Coralee Huggins is one of the characters I enjoyed the most and the only one I saw comedy with. This character played by Alyssa Milano really gets to be a love band-aid over all the others we get to see.

Do I recommend the series?

I'm really not sure it's a waste of time. But I do understand that it has problems with the script very strong, the jokes that are black humor (and by the way I love) went out of the boundaries of humor and left you feeling like you were watching something very bad. But at other times I understood the intention of the series.

The truth is that I don't know if I would recommend it, I would love to say yes but I doubt it. I would like to know the opinion of those who have seen it and be able to debate about its controversies.

It is said that part of Netflix's failure arose because of this series, since it hurts the sensitivity of many people including people who suffer from overweight and in many scenes there are messages of fatphobia. What do you think? I'll be happy to read them!
