Hey everyone, time to share something else I've seen. Chose to watch something quite new on Netflix, at least not something I've seen before I looked around. The movie "Barbarian" from 2022 which is an American horror thriller written and directed by Zach Cregger. It surprised me, completely sick end haha, not exactly my style of end but otherwise everything else was very good!😃
We follow Tess Marshall, who is going to a job interview in Detroit. She rents a rental house and when she arrives she discovers that it has been double-booked with another man by the name of Keith Toshko. Unaware of the house's dark secret, Tess's stay soon turns into a nightmare when she uncovers a terrifying truth in the basement.
The script and direction have received a lot of praise, I understand that. As mentioned, everything was very good, as well as the acting. With a budget of $4-4.5 million, the film grossed $45.4 million globally and received mostly positive reviews. So if you like suspenseful horror films with unexpected twists and turns that explore themes of trust, survival and the hidden dangers that can lurk in the unknown then I recommend you watch it. I give it a solid 8.
