Back with a sci fi thriller again, have also seen this one before but now there have been a couple in the same genre lately and it's been a long time since I saw this one. If I remember correctly I liked it. The film is directed by Grant Sputore.๐
The film is about a teenage girl called Daughter, who is played by Clara Rugaard. She is raised by a robot called Mother in an underground bunker after an apocalyptic disaster. Everything seems fine until they are disturbed by a woman that is hurt played by Hilary Swank and her revelations about truths about the outside world. I thought Clara Rugaard plays really well and gives the film credibility. The film manages to achieve an emotional depth and keeps me interested, it also surprises. The script is good and you are challenged. Visually, the film is superb with its minimalist aesthetic. A thought-provoking sci-fi thriller that explores the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence. An absolute recommendation if you like the genre. So I would say it was as good as I remembered, this is a strong 7.
