Hey everyone, logged into Netflix and the first thing I saw was this series. From what I saw and read, this sounds like a copy of Heroes from 2006 with people who had gained supernatural abilities.
Supacell is a British sci-fi superhero series and it's definitely worth picking up, especially if you enjoyed the Heroes series I mentioned above. This is very similar, just in more modern times and it caught my interest. The first season only consists of 6 episodes and provides a perfect origin story that sets the scene for season 2. I must say I'm looking forward to it now, I watched all the episodes yesterday in one day hehe.😃
The series follows 5 ordinary people from south London who suddenly develop supernatural abilities that are suddenly activated, and they must understand and control their power. I thought the acting performances were very good, I was carried away from start to finish and their characters are both likable and believable. Tosin Cole, Nadine Mills, Eric Kofi Abrefa, Calvin Demba and Josh Tedeku star as the superheroes. The series was created by Rapman, who is also the main director. Supacell is a fresh and exciting sci fi series, I'm looking forward to more! This is a strong 8 or maybee even an 9..
