The Marvel film "Avengers: Infinity War" is the largest blockbuster studio in which all the superheroes of the universe meet. This time they will fight with the intergalactic tyrant Thanos, who plans to kill half of the population of each inhabited planet. I believe that in Avengers: Infinity War there are quite a few exaggerations, inconsistencies and confusions, but nevertheless there is one obvious advantage.
Analyzing "Avengers: Infinity War" is not only devilishly difficult, but also pointless. The target audience of the film is fans who looked and studied all previous Marvel films, who had time to compare them with comics, also learned by heart. They prepared for this premiere not one year. Their enthusiasm is assured and predictable, as are the grumbling of few pedants who have been waiting for something else. These viewers do not read reviews - they trust only their own judgment and are afraid of spoilers in panic, considering any information about the film as such. The rest (untargeted) audience, too, will surely watch this movie. However, people who are not involved in the Marvel universe have no chance to understand anything. Before them will appear a giant, almost three-hour confusion, grotesque sin of dumping, stuffed with unbearable pathos, obscure humor and aggressive special effects.
Does this mean that "Avengers: Infinity War" is a bad movie? Of course not. The task set - to make happy those who care about this world and are close to the heroes - it solves brilliantly. To the laws of plot and ordinary human logic remains declaratively indifferent. However, even this deserves admiration rather than indignation. After all, can afford.
But isn't it strange? For many years to shoot completely different films - not only with their heroes, but also their own unique intonation, relationships, geography and chronotope. From time to time to remind that the worlds belong to a single universe: the episodic appearances of the characters of one series in films of the other have always looked touching. And then take, and shove them all into one hostel, under one roof and cover. In the new "Avengers" in a limited space of a single plot, not only the participants of the group designated in the name are pushed - Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Falcon, Scarlet Witch and Vision, but also Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man as well as Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition, of course, their numerous relatives, lovers, colleagues and enemies. In addition, the stars who performed the relevant roles (I will not list them all). From such a combination is no wonder go crazy.
However, the Marvel universe is not only a couple of dozen of equal characters, but also about the same number of talented directors with their own style and voice. Now it was necessary to reconcile them in one work - yes, so organically, so that the audience would believe in each of the long familiar characters and would be worried about him. In particular, therefore, “Avengers: Infinity War” lacks even the rudimentary signs of the author’s cinema. This is a completely producer product, in which the directors - the brothers of Russo - in no case could not be original. Too much responsibility. You take the wrong step and everything will fall apart. Instead of suspense - boredom, instead of laughter - bewilderment, instead of drama - laughter.
The need to combine such different aesthetic systems and spaces in one picture leads to an unprecedented set of exaggerations and compromises. In addition, the plot is doomed to internal contradictions. It must be difficult to somehow sew a quilt, and at the same time primitive, so that the viewer is not at all confused. In Avengers: Infinity War, the story is exactly that. The intergalactic megalomane Thanos set out to destroy half of the population of each inhabited planet - in the name of good goals, of course. For this, he searches everywhere for six magical stones, giving unlimited power. One of the stones is mounted in the forehead of Vision, which the rest of the Avengers stand to defend. If Thanos gets his way, the universe is waiting for the Apocalypse. In addition, quiet and inglorious: half of all living just silently crumble into dust.
Having said that, you must immediately bite your tongue. The fear of spoilers is an unworthy and stupid phobia, but if the authors and fans of the film beg to not reveal the intrigue, should they cross and spoil the mood of each other? Moreover, the "Avengers: Infinity War" is only one thing - but an undeniable and very powerful - dignity. This is a majestic, tragic, fool-free strong finale, breathing meaning into obvious nonsense. Without going into details, let us say only one thing: not everyone will be able to get out of this spectacular meat grinder alive. Including those whose death we did not expect.

In addition, on this occasion I would like to make two comments.
First of all. Victorious and awkwardly rich Marvel - has long been a hostage to his or her own power. To make each film richer and more spectacular than the previous one at some point became impossible. How to play back? In Avengers: Infinity War, the problem is solved completely radically. We can say that the main producer of the studio Marvel Kevin Feige did with his creations no less bravely and mercilessly than the villain Thanos. Now his hands are untied: if he wants, he can end the Marvel universe in the next sequel, if he wants, he can restart it from scratch.
Secondly. Thanos, played by the unrecognizable Josh Brolin (even under makeup and dubbing, you can appreciate how strong the actor is) collects not only stones, but also all Marvel heroes, bringing them to a common denominator. In the first half of the film, it may still seem that the melancholic Thanos, sincerely and beautifully soullessly dreaming of a universal genocide, is a kind of devil, quite attractive, like Milton's Lucifer, whose confrontation with the Avengers resembles the fight of rebellious angels with the army of Archangel Michael (as it is appropriate) favored by Thor - after all, the celestial being and the inborn warrior). But towards the end it becomes apparent that Thanos is only death incarnated. No wonder his name - derived from the Greek "Thanatos". In addition, he - death is much more convincing, sane and consistent than the narcissist Hela from the third "Thor", and therefore, unlike her, invincible.

Death has a sense of humor and compassion, it is intelligent and merciless. To confront her is meaningless. In any war, the trump card of infinity is only on its side. All the rest, even the gods, will eventually be erased from the face of the Earth and from human memory. This piercing and eerie conclusion is a strange, atypical aftertaste, with which the guaranteedly impressed spectators of the Avengers will look at the closing credits, realizing that it is Thanos who will return instead of the usual Avengers.
