A good movie, although where Stethem is being shot, you always expect more lust and brutality. For those who like action film, so as not to be disappointed, it is better to immediately understand that there are few fights in this film, there are no bloody scenes at all, and as it should be for an English movie there is humor, very specific and in small doses.
Regarding the actors, Jason Stethem got a little lost next to such famous actors as Paddy Considine (who looked great in the role of a smart, wonderful, professional and very outcast police officer sergeant) and Adon Gillen (who was so good that he could hardly believe that in real life the actor is not a maniac). But in general, Jason Stethem successfully made the background character for the guys listed above. Moreover, he perfectly understands what justice is and is ready to fight for this justice without thinking. Although in fact it is unlikely that the filmmakers wanted Stethem to make it the background character. By the way, specifically in this film, Jason's coolness turned out not very convincing, maybe because the film has almost no demonstration of his excellent police work on cleaning the city from villains. In the film, he practically does not smile, does not bathe, sleeps right in his jacket and boots, and eats nothing except chips. But it is not difficult to notice that during the film he constantly drinks whiskey, fights very hard, rude to everyone with whom he communicates.
"Blitz" is a good, but melancholic, gloomy and strong movie in every sense that life in general is a rather bleak and difficult thing. And for both ordinary thugs and cops. And even for maniacs. However and here it is clearly implied - all this is not a reason not to try to make the world around a little better, for example, saving him from another bastard or giving his friendship to someone who in his circle once willy-nilly became a pariah.
