Hola mis queridos amigos de HIVE, un gran saludo a todos, espero que se encuentren muy bien; en los días que estuve enferma, vi varias películas, entre ellas varios clásicos, y me gustaría seguir compartiendo con ustedes cuales vi, mi opinión y que me hicieron sentir, además de “anciana” 😄; estoy de acuerdo que las nuevas producciones muchas son de excelente calidad en imagen e historia, pero los clásicos además de contar excelente historias, tocaban nuestro corazones, y verlas hoy en día, después de tantos años, nos traen mucha nostalgia.
Hoy les hablare un poco de THE SANDLOT, en Latinoamérica es conocida como “NUESTRA PANDILLA”, una película que se estrenó en 1993, del genero aventura infantil, pero también tiene su toque de comedia, amor familiar y deportes, una historia con la cual muchos nos podemos identificar, ya que era una época que para la mayoría de los jóvenes estábamos en eso, juegos, diversión, travesuras y en el caso de los varones, deportes.
La película empieza con Scotty en su versión adulta, siendo narrador deportivo, entre comentarios y dando un vistazo al estadio, llegan a él recuerdo de su infancia, que tuvo un antes y un después de conocer a Benny y su pandilla; de esa manera hay un salto de escena, y vemos a Scotty de niño llegando a su nuevo hogar con su Madre y Padrastro con el cual su relación no era mala ni buena, era un hombre muy trabajador y no tenía mucho tiempo para dedicárselo a Scotty.
De ese modo Scotty decide ir a un pequeño estadio que esta en el vecindario y ve a unos niños jugando Béisbol, lo invitan a jugar, pero este es pésimo, no sabe atrapar ni tirar la pelota y como todo niño, los demás se empiezan a reír de él y se va.
Al día siguiente después de pedirle a su padrastro que lo enseñe a jugar, más la ayuda de su madre que interviene para que le dedique tiempo, salen al jardín, luego de unas pequeñas lecciones Scotty, atrapa su primera pelota, pero con su ojo 😄, Benny aparece y lo invita a jugar, viendo que su guante estaba roto Benny le presta uno.
Llegando al campo, y luego de varios intentos fallidos de atrapar y lanzar, Benny se acerque a él y de la manera más sencilla le dice que hacer, de este modo Scotty, logra atrapar la pelota y lanzarla de la manera correcta, dejando a todos impresionados y conformes con él como compañero de equipo.
Ya estando más cómodo con sus nuevos amigos y siendo ahora parte de esa pandilla de traviesos, lo invitan a todos lados, más que todo a jugar Beisbol, y es cuando entra en escena el otro futuro miembro de la pandilla, “HERCULES”, uno de los niños, el más cómico, batea un “home run”, y los demás en vez de felicitarlo, lo golpean, porque del otro lado de la cerca, dicen que esta una bestia, y le cuentan la historia a Scotty; que era un perro que luego de que su dueño le diera de comer tanta carne, creció de manera descomunal y se convirtió en una bestia temida por todos, ya que cuenta la leyenda, que se ha comido a todo aquel que intenta entrar a ese lugar, por eso toda pelota que cae detrás de la cerca se pierda, jamás la recuperan.

Despues de eso, sus vidas siguen con normalidad, solo que Scotty ya siendo parte del lugar donde vive ahora, pasando los días jugando béisbol entre ellos y en contra de niños ricos y creídos, también en días de piscinas, en noches de feria y travesuras.
Llega el día más complicado para Scotty; estaban jugando y Benny luego de un batazo rompe la pelota, todos quedan impresionados pero luego entienden que ya no jugaran más por ese día, ya que no hay mas pelota, ni dinero para comprar otra, así que Scotty para salvar el día va a su casa y toma prestada una pelota de colección de su padrastro, la cual tenía la firma de “BABE RUTH”, pero al este no saber casi nada de la historia del béisbol, no pensó que era una pelota tan valiosa, por tal motivo no le comenta nada a sus amigos, sino hasta que él mismo conecta su primero home run y cae en el terreno de la Bestia, y dice “que debe recuperarla ya que fue un regalo de una señora llamada BABE RUTH a su padrastro” cuando los demás escuchan esto, le dicen que esa pelota vale más que su vida, que no es una señora, es el mejor jugador de béisbol de todos los tiempo, eso desespera y preocupa más a Scotty, pero sus amigos no lo dejan solo en esto, hacen todo lo posible para recuperarla, usando sus ingenios para inventar herramientas de extracción, pero todas son destruidas por Hércules "la bestia".
Al día siguiente llega Benny al estadio con unos zapatos que dice que lo hacen correr más rápido, que entrara y tomara esa pelota, luego de un rato de preparación entra y la bestia que en realidad era un perro grande, mas no gigante, lo reta a tomar la pelota, Benny en un movimiento rápido la toma y corre, provocando el enfado del perro quien lo persigue por varios lugares del vecindario hasta llegar al mismo lugar, donde le cae la cerca encima al perro quedando atrapado, Scotty y Benny lo ayudan a salir, estando agradecido los lame y los lleva a donde tiene todas sus pelotas, luego los niños tocan la puerta de la casa donde vive el dueño, sale un hombre ciego pero muy gentil, quien los invita a pasar, Benny le explica todo lo sucedido y el señor les pregunto porque simplemente no tocaron la puerta, este al tomar la pelota por el cual hubo tanto alboroto, siente que esta en mal estado, por esa razón le entrega una nueva a Scotty, la cual tenía la firma de BABE RUTH y la de todos los jugadores de los Yankees en sus mejores tiempos, pero con la única condición que lo fueran a visitar y hablar de béisbol.
Scotty llega a su casa y su padrastro estaba enfadado porque vio que no estaba su pelota, Scotty le pide disculpas y le entrega la nueva, este al ver todas las firmas queda impresionado, pero aun así lo castiga por una semana, luego de eso, vemos como hay más interacción entre ellos, más juegos, mas convivencia padre e hijo.
Pasan los años y Scotty ya adulto narra lo que fue la vida de sus amigos, como Benny se convirtió en un jugador profesional de las grandes ligas y que Hércules, se convirtió en un miembro más de la pandilla y vivió 120 años caninos.
Así termina esta excelente película, un clásico que va de la mano con lo que fue parte de nuestras vidas, de juegos, diversión, travesuras y demás, recuerdo que en mi niñez, se veía niños por todas partes jugando, sea juegos deportivos o tradicionales, patinando, andando en bicicletas, con juguetes sin nada de tecnologías, los padres tenían que salir a buscarnos porque mas era el tiempo que estábamos en la calle jugando, nos regaños a diario no faltaban, pero valía la pena, ya que esas horas de diversión eran las mejores, por eso ver esta película me genero nostalgia, porque es una buena producción, y además por el contenido que nos da, que en el presente casi no se ve, no digo que la tecnología sea mala, es simplemente una herramienta que no está siendo bien usadas en niños, privándolos de la verdadera diversión, esa que muchos vivimos, ejemplo de esto; yo le digo a mi ahijado, sal a jugar con tus amiguitos, pelota, escondite, el avioncito, y me dice que es ese juego del escondite y el avioncito, “que tristeza de dio escuchar eso”, pero es culpa de nosotros los adultos, que permitimos que esto pase.
Por eso cuando tenga a mis hijos quisiera estar mas presente con respecto a su métodos de diversión, dedicarles tiempo para enseñarles también esos juegos, esa clase de diversión que yo y muchos vivimos, que no todo es tecnología, creo que sería lo más sano para ellos.

Today I will talk a little bit about THE SANDLOT, a movie that was released in 1993, of the children's adventure genre, but also has a touch of comedy, family love and sports, a story with which many of us can identify, since it was a time that for most young people we were in that, games, fun, mischief and in the case of boys, sports.
The film begins with Scotty in his adult version, being a sports narrator, between comments and giving a glimpse of the stadium, they come to him remembering his childhood, which had a before and after meeting Benny and his gang; that way there is a scene jump, and we see Scotty as a child arriving at his new home with his Mother and Stepfather with whom his relationship was not bad or good, he was a hard working man and did not have much time to dedicate to Scotty.
So Scotty decides to go to a small stadium that is in the neighborhood and sees some kids playing Baseball, they invite him to play, but he is lousy, he doesn't know how to catch or throw the ball and like every kid, the others start laughing at him and he leaves.
The next day after asking his stepfather to teach him to play, plus the help of his mother who intervenes to make him spend time with him, they go out to the garden, after a few small lessons Scotty, catches his first ball, but with his eye 😄, Benny appears and invites him to play, seeing that his glove was broken Benny lends him one.
Arriving at the field, and after several failed attempts to catch and throw, Benny approaches him and in the simplest way tells him what to do, thus Scotty, manages to catch the ball and throw it the right way, leaving everyone impressed and happy with him as a teammate.
Already being more comfortable with his new friends and being now part of that naughty gang, they invite him everywhere, especially to play baseball, and it is when the other future member of the gang, "HERCULES", enters the scene, one of the children, the most comical, hits a "home run", and the others instead of congratulating him, hit him, because on the other side of the fence, they say that there is a beast, and they tell the story to Scotty, that he was a dog that after his owner gave him so much meat to eat, he grew so huge and became a beast feared by everyone; He was a dog that after his owner fed him so much meat, he grew in a huge way and became a beast feared by all, because the legend says that he has eaten everyone who tries to enter that place, that's why every ball that falls behind the fence is lost, they never recover it.

The most complicated day for Scotty arrives; They were playing and Benny after a hit breaks the ball, everyone is impressed but then they understand that they will not play anymore for that day, since there is no more ball, nor money to buy another one, so Scotty to save the day goes home and borrows a ball from his stepfather's collection, which had the signature of "BABE RUTH", but since he knew almost nothing about the history of baseball, he didn't think it was such a valuable ball, so he didn't tell his friends about it, until he himself hit his first home run and fell in the field of the Beast, When the others hear this, they tell him that the ball is worth more than his life, that it is not a lady, it is the best baseball player of all times, that makes Scotty more desperate and worried, but his friends do not leave him alone in this, they do everything possible to recover it, using their ingenuity to invent extraction tools, but all of them are destroyed by Hercules "the beast".
The next day Benny arrives at the stadium with some shoes that he says make him run faster, that he will go in and take that ball, after a while of preparation he enters and the beast that in reality was a big dog, but not giant, challenges him to take the ball, Benny in a quick movement takes it and runs, Scotty and Benny help him to get out, being grateful he licks them and takes them to the place where he has all his balls, then the children knock on the door of the house where the owner lives, a blind but very kind man comes out, who invites them to come in, Benny explains everything that happened and the gentleman asks them why they simply did not knock on the door, he takes the ball for which there was so much commotion, he feels that it is in bad condition, for that reason he gives a new one to Scotty, which had the signature of BABE RUTH and all the players of the Yankees in their best times, but with the only condition that they were to visit him and talk about baseball.
Scotty arrives home and his stepfather was angry because he saw that his ball was missing, Scotty apologizes and gives him the new one, when he sees all the signatures he is impressed, but still punishes him for a week, after that, we see how there is more interaction between them, more games, more father and son coexistence.
Years go by and Scotty as an adult narrates what his friends' lives were like, how Benny became a professional player in the big leagues and that Hercules, became a member of the gang and lived 120 canine years.
So ends this excellent film, a classic that goes hand in hand with what was part of our lives, games, fun, mischief and others, I remember in my childhood, children were seen everywhere playing, whether sports or traditional games, skating, riding bikes, with toys without any technology, parents had to go out and look for us because it was more time we were in the street playing, I am not saying that technology is bad, it is simply a tool that is not being well used in children, depriving them of the real fun, the one that many of us live, an example of this; I tell my godson, go out and play with your friends, ball, hide and seek, the little plane, and he tells me that it is that game of hide and seek and the little plane, "how sad to hear that", but it is the fault of us adults, that we allow this to happen.
That's why when I have my children I would like to be more present with respect to their methods of entertainment, to dedicate time to teach them also those games, that kind of entertainment that I and many of us live, that not everything is technology, I think it would be the healthiest thing for them.
