MORTAL KOMBAT *(*New Line Cinema 2021)
First of all I warn you this post is full of spoilers so if you have not seen the movie and want to see it, do not continue reading and if this does not matter to you then welcome.
Antes que nada te aviso este post esta lleno de spoilers asi que si no haz visto la pelicula y quieres verla no continues la lectura y si esto no te importa estonces bien venido seas.

En el mes de abril se estrenó por HBO MAX y en salas de cine la nueva película Live Action de Mortal Kombat, haciendo un reinicio de la saga después de cancelación de la saga anterior de películas basadas en la franquicia, en todo caso la película esta inspirada en el exitoso videojuego de pelea del mismo nombre que fue lanzado por allá del lejano 1992.
Well, first of all I can only say that, if you are a fan of video games and your only expectation is to see your favorite characters from the franchise on screen and experience their characteristic special movements in enough detail, this is probably your ideal movie, but yes you are someone far from the history of videogames and who came to the movie by chance just to pass the time, you will probably be left with a feeling like something did not quite add up.
Bueno antes que nada solo puedo decir que, si eres fan de lo videojuegos y tu única expectativa es ver a tus personajes favoritos de la franquicia en pantalla y el experimentar sus movimientos especiales característicos con bastante detalle, probablemente esta sea tu película ideal, pero si eres alguien alejado de la historia de los videojuegos y que llego a la película por casualidad solo para pasar el rato, probablemente te quedaras con una sensación como que algo no termino de cuadrar.
From my perspective, it seems to me that the film does not take itself seriously, to the point that it seems more like one of those average gringo comedies that try to appear funny with the frequent use of bad words but that only stay at that in trying to be funny, sorry not all of them can be Ted or Deadpool, Mortal Kombat has somewhat concise dialogues and a very flat plot planning, as I said before if you are a fan of the saga you probably do not care about this, because you already know what goes, but for those who have no idea the film only tells us, that the kingdom of the outside world has defeated the kingdom of the earth in nine of the 10 tournaments called Mortal Kombat and that if the outside world wins the next tournament, the land will be at their mercy to be conquered and enslaved.
Desde mi perspectiva me parece que la película no se toma en serio a si misma, al punto que pareciera más una de esas comedias gringas promedio que tratan de parecer graciosas con el uso frecuente de malas palabras pero que solo se quedan en eso en tratar de ser graciosas, lo siento no todos pueden ser Ted o Deadpool , Mortal Kombat cuenta con diálogos un tanto escuetos y una planeación de la trama muy plana, como dije anteriormente si eres fan de la saga probablemente esto no te importe, pues ya sabes de que va, pero para aquellos que no tienen ni idea la película solo nos cuenta , que el reino del mundo exterior ha derrotado al reino de la tierra en nueve de los 10 torneos llamado Mortal Kombat y que si el mundo exterior gana el próximo torneo, la tierra quedara a merced de ellos para ser conquistados y esclavizados.

La primera escena de la película realmente me hizo tener muchas expectativas ya que nos transporta a Japon durante el año 1617 donde nos encontramos al clan Shirai Ryu el cual es atacado por el clan rival los Lin Kuei siendo dirigidos por Bi-Han que posteriormente será conocido como Sub Zero, todo esto con la única intención de aniquilar a Hanzo Hasashi un poderoso espadachín y terminar con toda su descendencia, Hanzo dará una extraordinaria lucha terminando con la vida de muchos de sus agresores pero terminara muriendo a manos de Bi-Han antes de morir jura vengarse del él tarde o temprano, los planes de exterminar la línea sanguínea de Hanzo fracasa al sobrevivir la hija menor de este y al ser rescatada por el dios del trueno Raiden esto último se muestra en escenas más adelante.

A continuación, nos muestran una breve introducción donde se explica lo del torneo Mortal Kombat junto a una profecía donde la sangre de Hanzo unirá a un nuevo grupo de campeones para alzarse en este torneo, dando así un salto temporal a la época actual donde nos presentan a Cole Young un luchador de MMA que parece estar al final de su carrera profesional por un declive tanto físico como emocional, pero a pesar de eso cuenta con el apoyo de su hija y esposa. En esta parte de la película yo me quede con cara de, ¿Quién carajos es este men? Pensé que sería algún personaje nuevo de las ultimas entregas del videojuego, más tarde me entere que es un personaje original para esta saga de películas siendo el protagonista principal y el descendiente de Hanzo

Pasamos a otra escena donde se nos muestra el mundo exterior en donde Shang Tsung el tan conocido hechicero devorador de almas está dando instrucciones a Sub Zero para acabar con los campeones de la tierra antes de que inicie el décimo torneo para de esta forma ganar automáticamente y no darle la oportunidad a la profecía de arrebatarles la victoria, Sub Zero contesta diciendo que la profecía no existe pues el termino con la vida de Hanzo y el de toda su línea sanguínea hace siglos. Esto da pauta a la persecución y eliminación de los campeones de la tierra los cuales se pueden identificar al tener una marca en forma de dragón en alguna parte de su cuerpo, así pasamos al ataque de Sub Zero contra Cole Young y familia siendo estos rescatados por Jackson "Jax" Briggs Mayor de las Fuerzas Especiales, cuyo objetivo era rastrear a los otros campeones de la tierra para reclutarlos , Jax le dice que contacte con su compañera Sonya Blade y le da el tiempo suficiente para que escapen mientras el se enfrenta a Sub Zero, como es de esperarse el Ninja de hielo lo derrota fácilmente después de congelar y destruir los brazos de Jax.

Cole encuentra a Sonya (Soy el mejor personaje de toda la película) Blade quien después de mostrarle quien manda al darle una pequeña tunda le explica que es la marca del dragón y como se ha presentado en diferentes guerreros a lo largo de la historia y que en todas las culturas se habla de un gran torneo además revela que la mayor parte de los campeones de la tierra ya están muertos, también hace aparición el mercenario Kano (el quiero ser gracioso pero no me sale) quien también es parte de los seleccionados para participar en el torneo ya que adquirió su marca al matar al anterior dueño de esta y se encuentra como prisionero de Sonya, en este momento hace aparición Reptile siendo uno de los asesinos mandados por Shang Tsung, después de una lucha en conjunto por parte de los tres logran derrotar a Reptile y es cuando la película hace su primer gran Fan Service o por lo menos el primero del que me percate abiertamente y de aquí hay un gran hueco en la trama que es rellenado por el poder de guion donde al parecer Jax y Sonia no cuentan con el apoyo del ejercito o con los recursos necesarios para ubicar el templo de Raiden y terminan dependiendo que por casualidad Kano si supiera donde esta el templo y tiene la forma de hacerlos llegar todo por a cambio de la promesa de un pago de tres millones de dólares.

Viajan en un avión que los deja sobre una zona desértica y aquí Sonya da una muestra del porque es el mejor personaje de toda la película a mi parecer dándole una paliza al sopla pollas de Kano, perdón me altere 🤣, después de la tunda a Kano encuentran a Liu Kang el cual los guía hasta el templo y les da una breve explicación del reino exterior y del próximo torneo que está por comenzar, además que hace demostración de tener el poder controlar el fuego a este capacidad de tener habilidades supernaturales se les llama arcanas, posteriormente se muestra una breve escena donde Sonya ve a Jax mutilado siendo tratado por los monjes del templo y posteriormente van a ver a Raiden el cual los trata con la punta del pie , inmediatamente Shang Tsung hace aparición junto sus guerreros dentro del templo reclamando que han perdido mientras Kung Lao se muestra por primera vez mientras se prepara para luchar junto a Liu Kan , Raiden interviene evitando la lucha poniendo una barrera para darle tiempo a los campeones de la tierra a prepararse y adquirir sus arcanas.

Continuamos con la batalla de Goro vs Cole donde esta recibiendo una paliza por parte del gigante de cuatro brazos, (lo cual ya no es ninguna sorpresa toda la película se la pasa siendo el saco de boxeo de todos 🤣, la neta que hueva de personaje), continuando al ver que su esposo esta a punto de ser asesinado por el monstruoso Goro, Alison se lanza con un hacha para tratar de defender a su marido hiriendo a Goro, este reacciona lanzando a Alison y ella después de caer se levanta y se dirige a su camioneta tratando de atropellar al gigante de 4 brazos mostrando mas iniciativa que Cole en toda la película XD. Goro enfurecido comienza a golpear la camioneta y es cuando hace aparición el poder del Amor digo su aparición el Arcana de Cole el cual resulta ser una clase de armadura que parece que genera energía con cada impacto que recibe bien estilo armadura de pantera negra, y que después es liberada en algún golpe o crea un par de tonfas o algo así porque una de ella termina en forma de cuchilla, de esta manera consigue el poder necesario para vencer a Goro.

Regresamos al templo donde Jax recupera la conciencia y ve atrapada a su amiga y compañera Sonya tratando de liberarla usando sus prótesis pero estas comienzan a romperse pero despierta el poder de creer en su fuerza interior 😉, perdón digo su arcana que le da unos brazos cibernéticos mamadisimos NYMBUS 2021 y logra salvarla, posterior a esto Raiden al fin decide hacer acto de presencia , men están desmadrando a tus guerreros a tu casa y llegas ya cuando todos están mas jodidos que nada, Raiden abre un portal para que Cole regrese y ayude en la batalla (si primero bien culero con él y ahora que ya despertó su poder ahora si lo quiere) y sale con una frase bien pero bien mamadora, “gracias por ayudar a mi combatiente a encontrar su arcana, despues de 4000 años aun esta vivo el linaje de Hasashi” y Cole lo hace quedar mal recibiendo un golpe por la espalda por parte de Sube Zero 🤣, Kung Lao trata de ayudar a Cole pero este queda vulnerable a Shang Tsung el cual lo atrae y comienza a succionarle el alma, siendo Kung Lao la primera baja del los campeones de la tierra.

Comienza el Round 2 Sonya va por el desgraciado de Kano para matarlo y de esta manera quedarse con la marca que la convertirá en un campeón de la tierra, esta lo vence a pesar del ojo con conjuntivitis de Kano XD al ser mas lista que él, aparte ya les dije que Sonya es el mejor personaje de toda la película, Liu Kan vs Kabal otra vez pero ahora el deseo de venganza lo acompaña así que le da el poder de lanzar las famosas patadas voladoras de Liu Kan y logre despertar el dragón que duerme dentro de él. 😆
