Gingerrr is one of the nollywood movies that gives off alot of confidence. It clearly involves money, friendship, action, crime and money. This beautiful movie is directed by Yemi Morafa and written by Xavier Ighorodje, the film shows 4 women who were caught up in dangerous situations that brought them together in a deadly heist. It was about survival but turned to hidden motives as secrets are unveiled.
This four women share the same desire to change their lives , but things take a different turn as complications come up ,secrets are being revealed, personal motives and betrayal sets in. It makes it difficult to know who to trust again. One of the things that attracted me to gingerrr is the unique energy from the movie. It is not so serious and it combines action and suspense made it very entertaining.
The beautiful casts in the movie especially Bisola Aiyeola ,she gives a very confident and boss lady vibes , her performance gives the movie a very beautiful moments. The chemistry around the characters is topnotch , making the friendship and conflicts interesting.
The plot twist in the movie begins to pile up at some point as secrets begin to reveal their selves , some good parts of movie happened really fast for me, while something's would have been explained better. The movie dose a good job at creating a huge atmosphere of uncertainty.
Watching the movie got me constantly wondering if any of them could be trusted and who has really intentions or not. The mystery box of gold that can only be opened by the right person with the words and arrangements. Giving the movie different layers of conflict creating more stumbling blocks for the ladies.
Let's talk about the powerful nollywood actors in this movie, like Bisola Aiyeola,Bukunmi Adeaga -llori ,Wumi Toriola,Bolaji Ogunmola, Lateef Adedimeji and so many others . All these actors create the larger personalities in this kind of Nigerian movies.
Bisola stands out her wonderful sides , she is natural in making every scene feel arranged and normal, she delivered her expression well making her presence enjoyable. Lateef also did very well switching between comedy and more serious with performing his role. Kiekie adds her beautiful energy too. Her comic personality lightens the chaotic atmosphere.
I personally feel like the movie was actually over crowded with main characters some characters and were under developed, instead of focusing on the existing characters more characters are being introduced. The comedy, some funny
The mission gives the film a sense of urgency, while the conflicts between the characters create additional tension. The problem is that the movie sometimes tries to portray at once. There are moments when you may find yourself asking, Wait, how did we get here, what just happend .
Ginger is a very interesting and enjoyable Nollywood movies you. It's is not perfect,but is is dramatic,funny chaotic, these qualities make it worth while..
