The heart eyes ❤️, combination of romance and horror all in one is really amazing I never expected it at all . I had to pause the movie to get my popcorn ready to fully enjoy the movie very well. The heart eyes is a very interesting movie.
The heart eyes is directed by Josh Ruben, the major characters are Olivia Holt as Ally McCabe and Mason Gooding as Jay Simmons.On a normal day these two drama genres shouldn't be together blending romantic comedy and the slasher horror like the movie scream.
The plot twist is clear every Valentine's day a masked killer who is the heart eyes killer murders couples. Well he happens to appear and mistakes jay and Ally as a couple and suddenly they become his target.
Here we see two are caught up in a situation where they don't like eachother fight for their lives. The act of two unemotionally excited people being shipped and forced to work together.
The killer who is known for wearing a mask with heart shaped eyes who always turns a romantic holiday into a terrific night. Two couples are brutally murdered at the beginning of the movie with their wedding details engraved in it.
In this movie we see what begins as a very uncomfortable work related dinner which quickly spirals into a nightmare. The movie stand's out in a way that's makes the romance and horror intriguing. Ally and Jay are not the typical couple they only kissed and fell victim to the killer.
The relationship between Ally and Jay progressively develops as the struggle for survival increases they actually find themselves bonding with each other as they lay low in the car. Increasing the killers appitte to kill them.
I really love how brutal the horror scenes are, they actually used the technique of the slasher and smile 2 for this movie. Making the attacks sudden and gruesome deaths. For a movie that had a lot of tension it also came up with a lot of ridiculous scenes to lighten up the tension.
The chemistry between Ally and Jay. There love redirects the course of the movie normally the audience will be interested in finding the who the killer is but they are actually distracted by the when rooting for the love between Ally and Jay.
A lot of mystery surrounds the heart eyes killer is being brought to light. The real story behind the heart eyes killer, is a crazy couple who's love language is killing and they do it together as couples supporting each other. There by targeting couples on valentine's day.
Some characters made impulsive decisions that where a little bit predictable. Well to anyone looking for a physchological horror it might not be all you want. Heart eyes has a good amount of horror and romance to keep you engaged. It's a 10/10 for me as a huge fan of horror movies.
