¡Hola, gente de internet! ¿Que tal va todo? Me he aventurado al mundo de los K-Dramas y es que aunque soy amante de la cultura coreana, lo mio en cuanto a entretenimiento solo era el K-Pop, sin embargo me aventuré a ver este K-Drama y me gustó bastante.
Hi, internet people! How's it going? I have ventured into the world of K-Dramas and although I am a lover of Korean culture, my thing in terms of entertainment was only K-Pop, however I ventured to see this K-Drama and I liked it a lot.
Eun Ha-Won es una chica que tiene la vida de nuestra conocida Cenicienta. Vive con su madrastra y una hermanastra que constantemente la maltratan y se aprovechan de ella. Su padre trabaja como conductor de un camión y por eso está viajando constantemente y desconoce los maltratos que sufre su hija. El sueño de la muchacha es poder entrar a la universidad y estudiar educación, para lo que tiene 10 trabajos parciales para poder juntar el dinero de la matrícula escolar. Por cosas del destino conoce a Kang Hyun Min un chico arrogante, elitista y mujeriego, perteneciente a la familia que lidera el grupo Haneul. El muchacho, por razones desconocidas para Ha-Won, le pide que se haga pasar por su prometida en la boda de su abuelo y que él le pagará una suma absurda por su tiempo. Es así como ella se ve envuelta en lo que la sociedad coreana llama "La realeza Coreana" que es el 1% de la población y a la que pertenecen las familias más influyentes del país.
Eun Ha-Won is a girl who has the life of our well-known Cinderella. She lives with her stepmother and stepsister who constantly mistreat and take advantage of her. Her father, who works as a truck driver, is constantly travelling and is unaware of the mistreatment his daughter suffers. The girl's dream is to be able to enter university and study education, for which she has 10 part-time jobs to be able to raise the money for her school fees. As fate would have it, she meets Kang Hyun Min, an arrogant, elitist and womanising boy who belongs to the family that leads the Haneul group. The boy, for reasons unknown to Ha-Won, asks her to pretend to be his fiancée at her grandfather's wedding and that he will pay her an absurd sum for her time. This is how she gets involved in what Korean society calls "Korean royalty", which is the 1% of the population and to which the most influential families in the country belong.
El presidente del Grupo Haneul no tiene solamente a Hyun Min como nieto sino también Ji Woon (quien siempre se rebela contra su abuelo) y el libre Seo Woo quien es un cantante que no se interesa para nada en los negocios familiares y le importa un bledo quien tome las riendas del negocio familiar y a quién su abuelo apodo "bueno para nada". Los tres primos son huérfanos (dos de ellos conservan a sus madres) por lo que su abuelo decidió hacerse cargo de ellos y los hizo vivir en la misma casa, pese a que se detestan. Tras conocer a Ha-Won y saber que es una chica de armas tomar, el presidente decidió contratarla para que enmiende el comportamiento rebelde e inmaduro de sus nietos, otorgándole misiones que ella debe cumplir (mientras vive en la casa con los muchachos) prometiéndole una paga por sus servicios y además pagar su universidad.
The chairman of the Haneul Group has not only Hyun Min as his grandson but also Ji Woon (who always rebels against his grandfather) and the free-spirited Seo Woo who is a singer and he's not interested in the family business at all and doesn't give a damn who takes over the family business and who his grandfather nicknamed "good-for-nothing". The three cousins are orphans (two of them have kept their mothers) so their grandfather decided to take care of them and made them live in the same house even though they hate each other. After meeting Ha-Won and learning that she is a tough girl, the chairman decided to hire her to mend the rebellious and immature behaviour of his grandchildren, giving her missions to accomplish (while living in the house with the boys) and promising to pay her a salary for her services and also pay for her college.
El cuarto caballero se trata del secretario del presidente, Lee Yoon-sung quien está a cargo de los chicos, del presidente y también de Ha-Won, y quien además la trata como todo un caballero.
The fourth gentleman is the chairman's secretary, Lee Yoon-sung, who is in charge of the boys, the chairman and also Ha-Won, and who treats her like a gentleman.
Aunque el argumento es poco creíble por no decir absurdo, al menos se aborda de una forma realista, no se siente forzado ya que el drama se toma su tiempo para desarrollarse. La fotografía del programa es preciosa, los planos de cámara están muy bien trabajados y ayuda a meternos de lleno en la trama.
Although the plot is implausible if not absurd, at least it's approached in a realistic way, it doesn't feel forced as the drama takes its time to unfold. The photography of the show is beautiful, the camera shots are very well crafted and help to draw us into the plot.
En cuanto al desarrollo de personajes, hay algunos mejores desarrollados que otros. Siento que quienes tuvieron mejor evolución fueron el Presidente y Ji Woon, y los más estancados hasta casi el final fueron Hyun Min y Hye-ji.
In terms of character development, some characters are better developed than others. I feel that the ones who had the best development were the Chairman and Ji Woon, and the most stagnant until near the end were Hyun Min and Hye-ji.
El pasado de cada personaje es interesante y revela el motivo del porqué todos se comportan como lo hacen actualmente y es el motor de todo. Las escenas flashback estuvieron muy bien ejecutadas e implementadas en el momento justo, y además fueron bastante explicativas aun cuando tenían poca duración.
The past of each character is interesting and reveals why they all behave the way they do now and is the driving force behind everything. The flashback scenes were very well executed and implemented, at just the right time and were also quite explanatory even though they were short in length.
La actuación de los interpretes fue de 10, sobre todo en las escenas de drama, muchas veces me hicieron saltar lágrimas dado a que le imprimían mucho sentimiento a sus escenas y podías perfectamente sentirte frustrado, impotente o devastado como ellos se sentían.
The acting of the interpreters was top notch, especially in the drama scenes, many times they brought tears to my eyes because they brought so much feeling to their scenes and you could feel frustrated, helpless or devastated as they felt.
Una de las cosas que más me gustan en las historias es que los conflictos se solventen rápido y no que sea un círculo vicioso de problemas para los protagonistas, porque mentalmente cansa ver tantos inconvenientes, uno tras otro desarrollándose sin un final. Es lo bueno que tiene este K-Drama que pese a que los eventos desafortunados vienen uno tras otro, se solventan rápido y eso genera que al menos haya un descanso entre un problema y el siguiente.
One of the things I like the most in the stories is that the conflicts are solved quickly and not in a vicious circle of problems for the protagonists, because it is mentally tiring to see so many problems one after the other developing without an end. The good thing about this K-Drama is that even though the unfortunate events come one after the other, they are solved quickly and that means that at least there is a break between one problem and the next.
El K-Drama en sí es una crítica social a las influyentes familias coreanas que a día de hoy obligan a sus hijos a formalizar relaciones por conveniencia que termina siendo más una asociación de grandes empresas que un matrimonio, muchas veces haciendo infelices a las partes involucradas (los jóvenes). Además de combatir el prejuicio que hay en Corea entre las familias ricas, de que las mujeres pobres o de clase media pueden ser arribistas, el cuál también es motivo para que los ricos busquen casar a sus hijos con alguna joven de la misma condición social.
K-Drama itself is a social critique of influential Korean families who nowadays force their children into formal relationships of convenience that end up being more of a business partnership than a marriage, often making the parties involved (the young people) unhappy. In addition to combating the prejudice among wealthy families in Korea that poor or middle-class women can be careerists, which is also a reason for the rich to marry off their children to a young woman of the same social status.
De hecho la evolución más marcada en cuanto a su desarrollo como personaje la tiene el Presidente quién al final acepta la relación de Ha-Won y Ji Woon tras darse cuenta de que el dinero no lo es todo y que una chica pobre también puede ser desinteresada.
In fact the most marked evolution in terms of his character development is in the President who finally accepts Ha-Won and Ji Woon's relationship after realising that money is not everything and that a girl with little money can also be selfless.
En cuanto a la banda sonora es genial, me encantó. Todas las piezas son super acertadas. Mi canción preferida es sin dudas la canción principal del K-Drama For Yor de BTOB
As for the soundtrack, it's great, I loved it. All the pieces are super accurate. My favourite song is definitely the theme song of BTOB's K-Drama For Yor.
