The Streaming channel Netflix brings us a new movie with the intention of refreshing its wall a little with movies for this 2021 with different attractions that could be to the taste of the viewer.
They present us with a very unusual plot where the good and the bad do not exist and only the hunger for power is what matters most. Money is drugs and the victims are people without the opportunity to defend their rights, since the system and the organized mafia can do what they want in full view.

Nos presentan una trama muy poco común donde los buenos y malos no existen y solo el hambre de poder es lo que más importa. El dinero es la droga y las víctimas son personas sin la oportunidad de defender sus derechos, ya que el sistema y la mafia organizada pueden hacer lo que deseen a la vista de todos.

Before I review any movie or series, I take some time to express some more realistic thoughts or opinions about what the fission or drama of a plot can convey to me. I do it with the intention of going beyond a simple review or to explain where the movie or series is going.
I think that information can be found on YouTube or Google, but when you share a more realistic thought on any topic you can go deeper and go further, you can make a difference and do things differently. Also, that is the idea of making reviews objectively but with a different touch.
Antes de realizar mi reseña sobre cualquier película o serie me tomo un tiempo para expresar algún pensamiento u opiniones más realistas sobre lo que la fisión o el drama de alguna trama puede transmitir en mí. Lo hago con la intención de ir más allá de una simple revisión o de explicar hacia dónde va la película o serie.
Creo que esa información la pueden encontrar en Youtube o Google, pero cuando se comparte un pensamiento más realista sobre cualquier tema se puede profundizar y llegar más lejos, se puede marcar la diferencia y hacer las cosas de otro modo. Además esa es la idea de hacer reseñas de manera objetiva pero con un toque diferente.

Digo podría ya que todo lo vemos en la película es ficción, pero podría ser una realidad que no podamos ver, pero que no significa que no esté o pueda ocurrir.

Todo comienza con Marla Grayson protagonizada por (Rosamund Pike) una mujer sin escrúpulos, trabaja como Cuidadora Sustituta para personas de la tercera edad que no tienen familiares que se hagan cargo de ellos son transferidos a esta mujer para cuidar de ellos en una casa hogar para ancianos.
Estas personas son víctimas de una mujer que trabaja bajo la mesa ideando un plan para hacerles perder sus casas o dinero y de esa forma ella poder adueñarse de lo que no le pertenece.

HAGAMOS UNA PAUSA
La trama parece pintar muy bien y ya estamos claros de que aquí no existen los buenos o los malos solo personas con poder con hambre de más poder. Que sin importar lo que tengan que hacer no se detendrán hasta lograrlo.
En este punto entendemos que Marla Grayson es una mujer sin empatía por los demás y que solo desea una cosa. Vemos como sabiendo la situación por la que está pasando no le importa realmente que pase con su vida y buscará la manera de salirse con la suya.

La trama se desarrolla con el mismo argumento hasta el final donde vemos como el líder de la mafia es el hijo de Jennifer Peterson quien intenta recuperar a su madre. Pero que se encuentra con una mujer que por alguna razón tiene una suerte que la hace inmune a todo lo que está sucediendo.
LO BUENO
Como historia tiene un atractivo diferente que puede atraer la atención de los espectadores, donde el humor o el contexto de la trama puede tener un tono oscuro y nada agradable para la sociedad.
El Director y guionista J Blakeson, nos trae una visión muy cruda de lo que pasa en muchas partes del mundo, pero con un contexto poco común que puede desviar la atención de lo que realmente es importante dentro de la trama.
The performances are balanced, nothing to write home about, they convince us and transmit the correct broadcasts.
THE BAD
I must say that the film did not fulfill what I expected it left me a lot to owe. The plot had the potential to turn into something very good, but it changed course several times. Leaving a bad taste in your mouth and wanting not to see this movie again.
The ending was perhaps what was expected, but the whole development did not have feet or head that will unite them to the torso of the main plot that really promised a lot, but was not taken advantage of.
Its main characters were subject to an argument that could be changed and that in many of the scenes had no logic and seemed more like a filler to give continuity to a scene.
Las actuaciones son balanceadas nada del otro mundo nos convencen y transmiten las emisiones correctas.
LO MALO
Debo decir que la película no cumplió con lo que yo esperaba me dejó mucho a deber. La trama tenía potencial para convertirse en algo muy bueno, pero que cambió de rumbo en varias oportunidades. Dejando un mal sabor de boca y con ganas de no ver más está película.
El final quizás fue el esperado, pero todo el desarrollo no tenía pies o cabeza que los unirá al torso de la trama principal que de verdad prometía mucho, pero no fue aprovechada.
Sus personajes principales estaban sujetos a un argumento que podía ser cambiado y que en muchas de las escenas no tenía lógica y parecía más un relleno para darle continuidad a una escena.
MY RATING
A film will always depend on two things for it to be successful, the first is having a plot or arguments that make it interesting and second actors that can convey the message.
This time the plot had potential at the beginning, but it went down in each scene presented which under what they had managed to get my attention at the beginning. I must give it a 6.5 / 10 as it is not what I expected and it left me with a very bad taste in my mouth.
I am not a professional critic, but I can detect when I don't like a movie.
MI CALIFICACIÓN
Una película siempre va a depender de dos cosas para que tenga éxito la primera es tener una trama o argumentos que la hagan interesante y segundo actores que puedan transmitir el mensaje.
En esta oportunidad la trama tenía potencial al inicio, pero fue bajando en cada escena presentada lo cual bajo eso que habían logrado al inicio llamar mi atención. Debo darle un 6.5/10, ya que no es lo que esperaba y me dejó con muy mal sabor de boca.
No soy un crítico profesional, pero sé detectar cuando una película no me gusta.
FINAL THOUGHT

I have had the opportunity to work in Venezuela in homes or residences for homeless older adults where a large part are left by their relatives for not having the resources to care for them or for the simple reason of not wanting to take care of them.
This is very common in different parts of the world and it is unfortunate to see how they are left in these places that in some cases do not have what is necessary or the staff is not qualified to deal with older people.
PENSAMIENTO FINAL
Dejando de un lado la trama y ficción que la pueda acompañar debemos tocar una realidad sobre el trato que se le da a los adultos mayores en estos lugares de cuidados y que en muchos de los casos no son los correctos.
He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar en Venezuela en casas o residencias para adultos mayores sin hogar donde una gran parte son dejadas por sus familiares por no contar con los recursos para su cuidado o por la simple razón de no querer cuidar de ellos.
Esto es muy común en distintas partes del mundo y es lamentable ver como son dejados en estos lugares que en algunos casos no cuentan con lo necesario o el personal no está calificado para tratar con personas mayores.
We must be aware and not leave our grandparents or relatives in places like these, not because they are bad or inappropriate, but for the simple fact that they are our family and the best place where they can be is with us.
