Hell Fest is an American slasher movie written by Seth M. Sherwood, Blair Butler and Akela Cooper, which was from a story by William Penick, Christopher Sey and Stephen Susco. It was directed by Gregory Plotkin with a run time of 1hr 30mins. It starred Amy Forsyth, Reign Edwards, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Tony Todd, Roby Attal, Christain James amongst others.
Hell Fest is revolves around some youngsters who were haunted for kill by a brutal serial killer during Halloween. When some friends Natalie, Brooks, Taylor and their boyfriends decided to go to Hell Fest for the Halloween, for fun putting on the "I am not scared face". But as things began to seem real, it was already too late, the screams of excitement had become screams of fear and horror and in no time they were fighting for their very own lives.
So am not really a big fan of horror movies but I had to watch this movie because I was kinda cheated by my friends who wanted to see an horror movie. To make it fair, we then played a game of which movie to watch on that particular day. Well, since I ended up watching the movie Hell Fest it means I lost lol, that is how I got to see this movie.
The beginning of the movie seemed normal as friends reunited after a long time. It was basically a group of normal kids picking the wrong place to catch some scary fun for the Halloween. Yeah, I see it as being at the wrong place at the right time.
The charade of Halloween, and being under the umbrella of the Hell Fest gave the killer a nice opportunity to execute his brutal killings without having to hide much. Even in the presence of other people, who did not have a clue about what was happening thinking it was all part of scheme of the organisers to scare them. There was even a time Natalie mistakenly saw the killer about to stab his victim to death in the maze but she felt it was just an act to scare her and even urged him to go on, argghhh it sure wasn't a good sight. It actually took time before they realised that something was wrong but by then the bodies were already piling up.
The movie is a creepy one, intense, violent and suspenseful. The killing spree were brutal and terrifying to watch, I had to close my eyes in some of the scenes, it was not funny for me I tell you just like when I saw Jigsaw 😖. Hell Fest keeps you on the edge of your seat, with the disappearing act of the killer I was practically watching out for them from where I was seated.
Although, I would not put it on a must watch list but if you are a fan of horror/slasher movie and you looking to see one then you can check Hell Fest out. It gave me a fright though.....plus it is a movie to watch on Halloween day.
