Finally Found Someone is a Filipino romantic comedy movie directed by Theodore Boboroi. With a run time of 1hr 58mins the movie starred actors like John Lloyd Cruz, Sarah Geronimo, Joey Marquez, Yayo Aguila amongst others.
The movie revolves around Aprilyn who was left at the last minute before the wedding by her to be husband (Randy) and in bid to find him, a video of her went viral on the internet. A video of her, on her wedding gown going to Randy's apartment crying and creating a scene and other clips of her on that day. But besides the video and funny stuffs she did to try reach Randy, she was just a bride that has been hurt and abandoned, a bride whose dream of becoming a wife in less than some minutes has been shattered.
It also portrays the life of the PR agent Raffy hired to manipulate Aprilyn's feelings to fix Randy's reputation due to the video that went viral. Raffy has a person does not have time for love, he is so much into his work which affected his initial relationship. So when he was given the project of handling Aprilyn, he did not did not see the love coming.
The movie takes us through an unexpected falling in love journey, where love is not a respecter of persons and one does not necessarily need to be ready to fall in love. It takes us through the life of Aprilyn, a open hearted girl that is not afraid to voice out her feelings and is true to herself. The life of Randy also, who hides his feelings and shoulder all the responsibilities of his family alone due to his mother's negligence in her past.
One thing I love about this movie is that it shows that even though you are in a relationship, you should exist outside your relationship. Many at times we get so engrossed in a relationship that we forget our own dreams or trying to achieve them. We get so blinded by the love that one might end up losing him/herself in that relationship and if that relationship ends up getting broken then you feel you can not do anything on your own.
Just like what happened to Aprilyn, she was just about her Dear Future Husband, getting married to him and all, without thinking about what she wants to do for herself but after been abandoned by the groom with the help of Raffy, she was able to discover herself, do what she wanted and was truly happy. Another thing I love about the movie was the lesson of honesty. No matter how much lies you can tell to people, you should not lie to yourself and there are some truth about ourselves we need to admit before one can actually move on.
Although, the movie is very predictable, it is a movie that makes you laugh, cry and feel the tingling feeling of love. There were also loose patches here and there, but overall it is a simple movie to watch with friends and loved ones and yeah it is subtitled.
