Hello guys, I hope you are all doing great and staying safe. I have always tried to give positive reviews when it comes to movies, not like they are all perfect but they are still okay to see. So when I spend my time to see a movie that is bad or empty I get annoyed. 😤

Vivarium is a sci-fi mystery with a run time of 1hr 37mins. Directed by Lorcan Finnegan it starred Imogen Poots, Jesse Eisenberg, Jonathan Aris, Senan Jennings amongst others.

Synopsis

When a couple gets trapped in a house, they are left to deal with unseen circumstances which is nothing they bargained for.

The movie revolves around a young couple, Gemma and Tom who were looking to start a family, in doing this they wanted a house that would be good to move in when the time comes. During the course of the search they met a mysterious house broker who took them to this wonderful but creepy estate called "yonder" where all houses looks just the same. The broker showed them into the house and oh well! As if things were not creepy enough, he disappeared right after that...leaving the couple in the house. When they realized this, they tried to leave the house but then came the realization that they can't leave as the house is like a maze...no way out. That seemed to be the only problem until they got a box with a baby who they have to care for.

Okay, I think my sum up actually sounds more interesting than the movie itself. I really thought this movie was worth the watch...but I had my hope dashed into the air. You get the creepy beginning that makes you curious to what the story is about...so you follow it trying to get a grasp of why the couple are being trapped...and why they need to care for a baby whose identity is unknown.

This is a kind of movie that keeps your curiosity level high and then kill it "just like that" towards the end...after you realize that you just wasted almost 2hrs of your time trying to make sense of something that doesn't even make sense from the start...then you are left with unanswered questions "annoying " ones at that. Initially I thought it was some kind of game where they need to find their way out of the maze, they win a prize then everyone goes back to their various lives...but no, it was a movie with a messed up storyline.

The movie is confusing and boring I tell you...am sure you'd ask why I just didn't stop watching it after I realized that. Well, honestly this is where I applaud them... because you know it is boring but you think there might be some sort of twist that would make the story better and understandable. Just like when the viewers is also in a maze trying to find a way around the movie. For me the most annoying parts was towards the end, I mean that is the most senseless ending ever.... I mean why did the couple have to face such end?

I like the both leads though, I have seen few of Jesse Eisenberg movies and I particularly like Now you see me, where he acted as a magician. They both played their role well in this movie but the story wasn't just great.

This is my own opinion about the movie "Vivarium", it was a waste of time for me but if you still want to see it then please do, you may understand it better...but don't lol. Oh! Just in case you have seen it and you have a contrary opinion to mine pls let me know.
