"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is a fiction and adventure film released in 2016, based on the best seller of the same name, written by Ransom Riggs and directed by Tim Burton. It is a youthful production that transports us to a magical world where nothing is impossible.

It is the story of Jacob Portman (Asa Butterfield) is a 16-year-old boy who grew up listening to his grandfather's fantastic stories in bedtime stories, talking about a home where children with unusual faculties lived, told them their names, described them very well and told him about the incredible things they could do, his friend Miss Peregrine (Eva Green) was in the care of those children called them "peculiar."

Jacob became a teenager like anybody, one day visiting his grandfather found him dead in strange circumstances. Which led him to investigate the causes of his death, found evidence of the existence of Miss Peregrine's home and clues as to how to reach him. He decides to undertake the adventure, following the notes of his grandfather arrives at a fishing island where a great variety of birds coexist, Jacob asks the inhabitants how to arrive at the orphanage and inform him that for years it does not exist, it was devastated during the war and all the children died in that event.

The peculiar children find Jacob and take him to the Miss Peregrine orphanage where they have survived the time in a mysterious way ... Everything is exactly like the stories of his grandfather, Emma is able to create fire with his hands, Olive is peculiar by his ability to levitate, Millard is invisible, Hugh can handle the bees, Claire is an adorable little girl who hides a mouth with sharp teeth, Fiona is able to control plants, Bronwyn has superhuman strength can lift very heavy objects, Enoch can revive to the dead for short periods of time, and Horace has visions and prophetic dreams.

Jacob is the only one who can protect the home from the attacks of terrifying "hollows" eyeless monsters who seek peculiar children to eat their eyes and obtain their abilities, during this adventure, Jacob discovers his own peculiarity and also love.

It has the stamp "Tim Burton", that gothic touch that carry all his films, that strange fixation by highlighting the eyes, deep looks, clear scenes and very dark scenes. It has the masterful performance of Samuel L. Jackson in a creepy character, grossed more than 28 million dollars in its first two days, generated high expectations from before its premiere for being based on a successful novel, has had harsh criticism of its director as in each film under his tutelage, certainly worth seeing the fantasy in this production is enjoyable in all ages
