No sé si algunas veces lo he dicho en mi blog, pero las películas de terror no son mi fuerte, sin embargo, me invitaron al cine, fuimos 4 personas y 3 querían ver esta película, así que me atreví a verla; en parte, por salir de mi zona de confort y por otro lado, porque había demasiado de ella aquí en Hive... Así que el día de hoy traigo una reseña de esta película.
El Teléfono negro es una película de terror y drama, que esta ambientada en los años 70, dónde un pueblo se ha visto acechado por un homicida sádico y enmascarado que ha causado la desaparición de varios niños... Un día Finney, de tan solo 13 años se encuentra con este hombre y es secuestrado, es retenido en un sótano, en él hay un teléfono averiado en la pared, donde las victimas del criminal quieren ayudarlo a escapar.
I don't know if I've said it a few times in my blog, but horror movies are not my forte, however, I was invited to the movies, we were 4 people and 3 wanted to see this movie, so I dared to see it; partly, to get out of my comfort zone and on the other hand, because there was too much of it here in Hive .... So today I bring a review of this movie.
The Black Telephone is a horror/drama film, which is set in the 70's, where a town has been stalked by a sadistic, masked killer who has caused the disappearance of several children.... One day Finney, only 13 years old, meets this man and is kidnapped, is held in a basement, where there is a broken telephone in the wall, where the victims of the criminal want to help him escape.

Admito que tenía mucho tiempo que no iba al cine rencontrarme con la experiencia estuvo muy buena, pero esta película esta en todos lados y tenemos que hablar de ella; es una adaptación de una historia corta escrita por Joe Hill, el hijo Stephen King, por lo que había demasiadas promesas que cumplir; en general admito que su trabajo me atrapo con esta película y quede con ganas de mucho más.
Esta es una película de terror, un género con el que no suelo coincidir mucho, pero me gusta lo que vi, la trama me agrado aunque tiene sus cabos sueltos. Me gusta la manera en la que no abusan de efectos que en otras películas de terror son molestos: como violencia sin sentido, sangre en todas partes... Por supuesto que hay momentos donde salen imágenes que te asustan de la nada, pero tampoco es un elemento que usen una y otra vez.
La trama tiene algo que me llama la atención, y es que el personaje principal que es Finney, tiene bastante protagonismo, de él llegamos a conocer sus miedos, su pasado y también vemos un crecimiento por las circunstancias muy grande, como se llena de fuerza para salir adelante y aprende en la soledad a no dejarse pisotear nunca más por nadie.

This is a horror movie, a genre I don't usually agree with much, but I like what I saw, I liked the plot even though it has its loose ends. I like the way they don't abuse effects that in other horror movies are annoying: like senseless violence, blood everywhere.... Of course there are moments where images come out of nowhere that scare you, but it's not an element they use over and over again.
The plot has something that catches my attention, and that is that the main character who is Finney, has enough prominence, we get to know his fears, his past and we also see a very big growth by the circumstances, as he is filled with strength to move forward and learns in solitude to never let himself be trampled by anyone.

Por otro lado, tenemos a la hermana de Finney, Gwen, ella es un personaje que tiene el poder de ver algunas cosas que pasan, y que sostiene un personaje que sostiene una relación con Dios, dándonos conversaciones que entabla que terminan por darle un plus muy interesante a la trama.
Ahora bien, hablemos del villano o el raptor, no fue desarrollado, nunca se supo porque era así, su historia, nunca se explica ni una sola razón por la cual hace tanto a daño. Esto si me disgusta, porque siento que un personaje que debería ser importante es muy vacío, sin embargo, también me gusta que no se basen solo en el villano, y que podamos conocer más sobre los sentimientos del afectado.
En la misma línea de desarrollo de personajes, siento que todos los personajes secundarios fueron planos y no hubo una mayor propuesta en cada uno de ellos... Por otro lado, no es una película que no me dejo dormir, esto me gusto, si hubo momentos en los que me asuste pero fue tan grave como pensaba y realmente siento que es una buena película.
On the other hand, we have Finney's sister, Gwen, she is a character who has the power to see some things that happen, and who sustains a character that has a relationship with God, giving us conversations that end up giving a very interesting plus to the plot.
Now, let's talk about the villain or the raptor, he was not developed, it was never known why he was like that, his story, it is never explained a single reason why he does so much damage. I dislike this, because I feel that a character that should be important is very empty, however, I also like that they do not rely only on the villain, and that we can know more about the feelings of the affected.
In the same line of character development, I feel that all the secondary characters were flat and there was no major proposal in each of them.... On the other hand, it's not a movie that didn't let me sleep, I liked it, there were moments when I was scared but it was as bad as I thought and I really feel it's a good movie.

Antes de cerrar el post, me gusta la manera en la que la infancia es tocada en esta película, es decir, nos muestran una realidad muy cruda, sobre como algunos niños son violentados por otros niños o por las personas que deberían cuidarlos; nos muestran como la infancia puede tornarse oscura y como seres tan indefensos pueden verse involucrados en las peores situaciones.
La verdad, entre a las sala de cine, sin esperanzas de que esta película me gustara, pero la verdad me lleve una sorpresa al salir, tiene sus puntos que no me gustan pero aún así me gusto, no salí asustada o traumatizada, tuve una buena experiencia y un buen recuentro con el cine. Esta película resalta por buenos motivos, y estoy segura que seguirá resaltando mucho en su género.
Una buena trama, excelente y único final, una película que te sorprende para bien, y en definitiva tiene toques interesantes como el personaje de Gwen, él crecimiento de Finney y los espíritus que lo ayudan. Me salí de mi zona de confort y valió completamente la pena.
Before closing this post, I like the way in which childhood is touched in this movie, that is to say, they show us a very raw reality, about how some children are violated by other children or by the people who should take care of them; they show us how childhood can become dark and how such defenseless beings can be involved in the worst situations.
The truth is, I went into the movie theater with no hopes that I would like this movie, but the truth is that I was surprised when I left, it has its points that I don't like but I still liked it, I didn't leave scared or traumatized, I had a good experience and a good encounter with the cinema. This film stands out for good reasons, and I am sure it will continue to stand out in its genre.
A good plot, excellent and unique ending, a movie that surprises you for good, and ultimately has interesting touches like Gwen's character, Finney's growth and the spirits that help him. I stepped out of my comfort zone and it was completely worth it.
