Greetings Hiver from the C/Movies & TV Show community I'm practically new to Hive, so this is my second post on movie reviews, despite being a passionate cinephile. I hope I can live up to it.

I was waiting for this movie to arrive, truth be told, since I saw the first one, and I must say, it was worth the wait. Two of my favorite Marvel characters star in this sequel, Wanda and Strange. And they are favorites for having that human quality, that makes them make mistakes and make amends for them, plus they have the most fantastic body language in the entire Marvel Universe.

The most fun of watching the movie was hunting for fan theories, since I finished watching Wandavision I started hunting for theories on the internet, because although I love Marvel, I am far from being an expert, as to elucidate theories and, moreover, get it right. Well, the Marvel Universe scholars have got it right, it's amazing the ability and the little time these guys have to rest.

I had to wait a week (interminable) to see it, in the end I thought I would go alone, but yesterday my daughter surprised me when she told me she wanted to see it too, so this afternoon we embarked on this exciting adventure through the multiverse.

People make fun of me when this kind of movies make me cry, they have the opinion that it is not true cinema, they are the same people who think that crafts are trinkets and that human effort is not enough merit to unleash passions. I felt like crying 3 times. I was not only affected by the drama of Wanda, who not only lost her great love, but also her children, but also by the drama of Strange, who we saw him suffer for Christine Palmer and do immoral things to save her, in What if...?

In fact, I loved the references to this animated series (What if...?), not only I think they are the product of a great imagination, also denotes a deep study on everything that makes up this universe, and what could be its variants, as well as not missing the original Captain America, and take something that they themselves have created: Captain Carter, which we also saw in What if...? I loved this woman who looks more powerful than her male version, and in live action much more.

And what about Captain America's phrase this time pronounced by Carter, a phrase that was repeated so much in Phase I that it became a meme and pop culture reference, which indicates that the MCU flaunts all the dramatic resources that make up this universe to make us accomplices of the plot, because the easter eggs does nothing more than build audience loyalty.

I also appreciate the inclusion of America, the new heroine, and I appreciate it because she is Latina, and it's funny, when she said her name the whole theater started laughing, and we felt accompanied in the darkness of the room. We already had Salma Hayek, but she almost went unnoticed in Eternals, or maybe I wasn't too excited about that movie.

I hope Wanda gets her kids back and that Dr. Strange doesn't get that ponytail, because it doesn't suit him.

I am comforted that Strange's girlfriend Christine Palmer seems to love him despite the insanity of Strange's chosen path, and even if they move universes, they will love each other forever.

It's a fun and intelligent movie, never boring, and I want to recommend it. Beyond all the Hollywood production and special effects, it has a lot of humor and emotional situations, it also gives us lessons on how to act ethically in moments that endanger the lives of those we love. It also references the inequality between men and women, in this case Wanda and Strange, which we already know that Wanda kidnapped an entire town and held it captive, and well Strange gave the Time Gem to Thanos, then Wanda Maximoff says (wisely) to Strange:

You break the rules and become a hero. I do and become the enemy. That doesn't seem fair.

And no, it isn't.

I want to close with this line from the movie, which Dr. Strange's addresses to Christine Palmer:

"I love you in all universes."

Saludos Hiver de la comunidad de C/Movies & TV Shows soy practicamente nueva en Hive, por lo que este es mi segundo post sobre reseña de películas, a pesar de ser cinéfila apasionada. Espero poder estar a la altura.

Estaba esperando la llegada de esta película, a decir verdad, desde que vi la primera, y debo decir, que valió la pena la espera. Dos de mis personajes favoritos de Marvel, protagonizan esta secuela, Wanda y Strange. Y son favoritos por tener esa calidad humana, que los hace equivocarse y enmendar sus errores, además de tener la mas fantástica expresión corporal de todo el Universo Marvel.

Lo mas divertido de ver la película fue cazar las teorías de los fans, desde que terminé de ver Wandavision comencé a cazar teorías en internet, porque aunque me encanta Marvel, estoy lejos de ser una experta, como para elucubrar teorías y, además, acertar. Pues los estudiosos del Universo Marvel han acertado, es increíble la habilidad y el poco tiempo que tienen para descansar estos sujetos.

Debí esperar una semana (interminable) para verla, al final pensé que iría sola, pero ayer mi hija me sorprendió cuando me dijo que quería verla también, así que esta tarde nos embarcamos en esta emocionante aventura por el multiverso.

La gente se burla de mi cuando este tipo de películas me hace llorar, tienen la opinión que no es verdadero cine, son los mismos que piensan que las artesanías son baratijas y que el esfuerzo humano no es mérito suficiente para desatar las pasiones. Pues tuve ganas de llorar 3 veces. No solo me sentí afectada con el drama de Wanda, que no solo perdió a su gran amor, también a sus hijos, igualmente por el drama de Strange, que le vimos sufrir por Christine Palmer y hacer cosas inmorales por salvarla, en What if…?

De hecho, me encantaron las referencias a esta serie animada (What if…?), no solo pienso que son producto de una gran imaginación, también denota un profundo estudio sobre todo lo que compone este universo, y cuales podrían ser sus variantes, así como no echar en falta al Capitán América original, y tomar algo que ellos mismos han creado: La Capitana Carter, que también vimos en What if…? , a mi me encantó esa mujer que luce mas poderosa que su versión masculina, y en live action mucho mas.

Y que decir de la frase del Capitán América esta vez pronunciado por Carter, frase que se repitió tanto en la fase I que se volvió un meme y referencia de la cultura pop, lo que indica que el MCU hace alarde de todos los recursos dramáticos que conforman este universo para hacernos cómplices de la trama, porque los easter eggs no hace mas que fidelizar a la audiencia.

También agradezco la inclusión de América, la nueva heroína, y lo agradezco porque es latina, y es gracioso, cuando dijo su nombre la sala de cine comenzó a reír entera, y nos sentimos acompañados en la oscuridad de la sala. Ya teníamos a Salma Hayek, pero casi que pasa desapercibida en Eternals, o será que no me animó mucho esa película.

Espero que Wanda logre recuperar a sus hijos y que el Dr. Strange no se deje esa cola de caballo, porque no le sienta.

Me siento reconfortada porque la novia de Strange, Christine Palmer, parece amarlo a pesar de la locura del camino elegido por Strange, y aunque se muden de universo, se amarán por siempre.

Es una película divertida e inteligente, nunca aburre, es mi deseo recomendarla. Mas allá de toda la producción hollywoodense y los efectos especiales, tiene mucho humor y situaciones emocionales, también nos da lecciones sobre como actuar con ética ante momentos que ponen en peligro la vida de quienes amamos. También hace referencia a la desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres, en este caso Wanda y Strange, que ya sabemos que Wanda secuestró a un pueblo entero y lo mantuvo cautivo, y pues Strange le entregó la Gema del Tiempo a Thanos, entonces Wanda Maximoff le dice (sabiamente) a Strange:

Rompes las reglas y te conviertes en un héroe. Yo lo hago y me convierto en el enemigo. Eso no parece justo.

Y no, no lo es.

Quiero cerrar con esta frase de la película, que el de Dr. Strange le dirige a Christine Palmer:

"Te amo en todos los universos"
